Director Peter Jackson delivers an excellent King Kong film. Both the theatrical and extended versions are presented here in glorious 4K. I cranked up my surround sound and enjoyed the ride.

I already own the regular 4k release but couldn't resist the steelbook. It is absolutely gorgeous. The transfer is really good. My only complaint is the HDR is a little overcooked. Recommended.

I watched this in theaters way back in 2005 & was thoroughly impressed. The 4K HDR presentation is absolutely stunning & the soundtrack packs an incredible punch! Definitely worth adding to your personal library!

I have loved this version of the movie since it's release back in 2006. The story is long, but the payoff really hits by the end of the film. It's magnificent in scope, and with the new 4K remaster, this movie is absolutely gorgeous!

Always enjoyed this movie, and even more so with the 4k DTSX version. Between all the creepy critters crawling around you and the different fight scenes there's more than enough here to justify an upgrade for standard copy owners

A jam-packed edition of Peter Jackson's 2005 underrated King Kong remake that has more than 13 hours of content including both cuts of the film. Andy Serkis deserved a Oscar for his performance here.

This movie is great, and when watched on a Sony A8H 65" Oled TV and Sony HT-Z9F Sound Bar and Sony SA-Z9R rear speakers you get awesome picture and the sound is impressive. I highly recommend this movie!

I saw this in the theater years ago, but I didn't remember how well done it really was. The effects were super. Naomi Watts carried the rest of the cast who were otherwise pretty predictable. But really this was just plain fun.

I originally was skeptical of this film when it came out. But the cast was decent (I wasn't much of a fan of Jack Black early on, but he's grown on me over the years). This movie is such a beautiful remake of a classic (which is always a gamble).

This film contains perhaps the most exciting fight scene in movie history - between several t-Rex's and Kong. But the true genius in this movie, apart from the amazing CGI, is Jackson's ability to humanize the CGI ape. Kudos to Andy Serkis for playing the titular character

Had no trouble with playing on PC. This is a great flick by peter jackson. Love the gloomy colors, suspense-fully spooky island and great special effects. This version of King Kong assembled a great cast and did a great job of retelling the story and blu-ray just adds to the enjoyment.

This is a very long movie. Also included is an even longer version. Ok.

This is probably the best adaptation of the King Kong remakes. The only thing that hurts it is they tried to make it in epic. The extended version which runs as long as the Godfather part two is hard to watch in one sitting. Kong: Skull Island it's a good movie to see if you like this one. Although in that one, Kong never leaves the island.

The talent of director Peter Jackson is quite evident on the screen. From its art directions to costume design to visual affects the retelling of King Kong is exemplary. This could’ve been what the original King Kong Could’ve been if it had been made in the 30s with today’s visual effects.

This was the first movie I remember watching in the movie theaters as a kid. It brings back so much memories and watching it in 4K is just so amazing. The colors are rich and vibrant however HDR can be too bright at times.

The first in the series, I hadn't actually watched it until *after* the latest Godzilla move which seems to imply they're all in the same world. So now I've been going back and watching and getting ready for Godzilla vs Kong. This was a great rendition of the old King Kong storyline.

When I first saw this movie in the theaters, I loved it. In 4k, this film looks AMAZING! The 4k experience is truly awesome with visuals that are great! The movie itself was awesome with a great plot and superb acting. Highly recommended!

This update fleshes out the relationship of Ann Darrow and King Kong so that it makes sense and does not portray the gorilla as some kind of strange hook up. We see each of them as some kind of lost soul all alone in the world. Handled very well.

if you are a fan of the og king kong this is an excellent copy of that the movie.i like it because they follow the same script.there is a few scenes added to make it more exciting.the big difference is it's in color.i would diffently but it again.

An amazing cast and a good movie the cgi is great in my opinion but I always loved these movies no matter how bad or good they are.
