I thought this was a really great take on a classic movie although the last line Jack Black says in the movie is kind of cheesy it's still a great time

King King has never looked or sounded this good. Even in the theater. The improvements the 4k resolution makes are huge. And I like that you can watch the theatrical or extended version of the film in 4k. Great job all around

The picture quality and colors are excellent on this 4 k. I must for your 4 k collection. This is a fantastic movie to show off your new 4 k tv.

This is a cool movie, but it's not what I thought it was. I thought I was getting the latest Kong movie (particularly for the 4k visuals), but that one is Kong Skull Island. So, this is a good movie, but make sure you're getting what you want.

This is a great movie, but LONG movie. I was a little disappointed in the 4k. Kong hiimself looks really good but a lot of the shots are really soft, but then again this is an older movie. Still a great watch

Peter Jackson's epic version of King Kong enlists the magnificent performance capture art of Andy Serkis! Kong comes to life and you forget the CGI. Naomi Watts is the adorable beauty and Jack Black's humour seals the deal!

It's hard to watch, because you feel sorry for the ape. The story is funny, scary and sad depending on the part you are at in the movie. The sound is great, and the picture quality first rate. This movie really lets your 4K TV shine, and if you have 7.1 or higher you won't be disappointed.

I would give the 4K Blu-ray a 4/5 due to some issues in picture quality due to this being an up-converted 2K transfer, but overall a 5/5 for the sheer amount of content you get for the price. A must buy for fans of the film.

This is the best version of King Kong to date. As usual Jack Black is his zany over zealous self. Adrian Brody is phenomenal and Naomi Watts is superb. Great cinematography and ab excellent screenplay.

Peter Jackson's big budget King Kong remake feels like a roadshow epic from the 30's and 40's dusted off and polished with modern vfx. Jackson as a filmmaker is deadset on giving you a thrilling adventure film like the ones from his youth and does it exactly the same way, for better or worse.

This is a pretty epic movie. It does take quite a while for them to get to the island, however, I think it is worth it. My wife enjoys this movie quite a bit, I think it's because the story is fairly sweeping and epic. I also think it is one of Jack Black's best roles.

Sure Peter Jackson's films are a little long winded, and don't need to be any longer. But hot dog! they are gorgeous to look at. Go for Naomi Watts in the jungle, stay for the T Rex factory that still astounds 12years later!

An interesting retelling of the classic Kong myth. Peter Jackson has given us a new look for Skull Island. I replaced my DVD with this Blu-ray to have the whole movie on one disc. TONS of special features included as well.

Great family fun. Good special features. I had the good extended version on DVD, but we have a 4k tv now and nothing upscales DVD well enough in a visual spectacle like this one, so we upgraded to the blu ray. Works well.

This will be my 3rd version of the movie DVD->Blu-Ray->4K. Peter Jackson did this story justice with his version. The creatures on the island, the cast and the locations used all make this a great movie experience.

I have seen many movies getting re-released to UHD but this is by far on my top 5 done. The picture is amazing. It's almost like seeing it for the first time. I would recommend this to anyone who loves picture quality

I remember enjoying this movie on the big screen - the cinematography and effects. I had the 2-disc DVD from years ago but when I saw this steelbook blu-ray on sale, it made sense to get this movie in blu-ray quality.

The very best King Kong movie by far! The big guy looks very lifelike with terrific facial expressions and emotional body language. I really enjoyed this version!

I've been waiting for a long time to get an Ultimate edition of King Kong for a nice price. Also, I've been dying to have a Digital / Ultra Violet copy, and now I have it. Big thanks to Best Buy for having this edition.

Excellent. 4K is the best way to see any large monster movies. And get a large TV while you’re at it! Recommend for any monster movie lovers out there.
