Though there are a few silly scenes in the movie, overall I love it! The 4k picture quality is very nice and the digital copy is 4k not HD.

I love this version over the 1979 version because it stays true to the 1933 version, unlike the previous remake. great special effects

This is one of those movies you wanna upgrade to 4k. Sharp picture especially on Kong. And a steelbook is just extra. Thanks best buy

Peter Jackson's take on the 1930s original. This edition has an exhausting assortment of extras. Well worth the purchase for fans.

I liked this movie a lot.action suspense.even romance. By the way the best had blue ray disc I have ever seen in hdr.i recommend it a lot.

My first instinct upon seeing the "King Kong: Ultimate Edition" was pretty sour. I already own it twice, and if it wasn't for the low price point of $10, I wouldn't have purchased it for the one "major" addition that may or may not be your tipping point, as well. The Ultraviolet copy. For $10, to get one of the better movies available in past 25 years, it was worth it to have access whenever I travel. But, what is the Ultimate Edition? Before blu ray became the go-to, King Kong was released in a special edition on DVD. 3 discs, both theatrical and Director's Cut, and 10+ hours of extras. Once blu ray came along with higher definition, Kong was released again, this time with both cuts in the better format, but very lite on the extras. The Ultimate Edition brings the blu ray versions of the film together with the extras provided from the DVD, along with the UV copy. (Please note, the extras are NOT upgraded in Ultimate Edition). Essentially, the choice on this varies greatly based on how much you love this film, whether you own a prior version and which one, and whether you want it in UV. But, at $10, there's no real gouging going on here to avoid this version based on your personal collection. If this had been released at any other price point, I couldn't recommend it. As is, it may finalize 2005's journey of Kong for my own library. (Until 4K lol).

I love King Kong this has been a good buy for me. It may be a good buy since it’s steelbook but the movie was amazing at its time.

This is a very good movie and in 4k is outstanding. The steelbook is great. The only negative is waiting an hour to see King Kong.

I feel that this is the Best Ever King Kong Movie, Peter Jackson attention to detail and the interaction of the characters is Great.

I was not spacting to see more accion scenes on this Extended version neven seen before, wow!, i highly recommend this one...

This is a great movie with lots of twists and turns throughout the movie it keeps you entertained all the way through and has some areas where you can really relate to the characters

I bought it just for the steelbook. Huge Peter Jackson fan and I love this film. Do not regret as the artwork is so beautiful.

Nice steelbook addition to the 4k library. The sleek cgi effects are smooth and crisp on my tv and the sound is awesome!

If you like this kind of movie, this is Awesome! The movie looks great in Blu Ray. Lots of extra stuff. Price was great!

Ultra lush Steelbook. The matt dinish and dim look really helps draw you in to the image. At 1st I didn't realize that it was an actual scene from the film! I found myself hitting pause when that moment came up. The intensity of THAT ACTUAL MOMENT adds tremendous weight to why the image was chosen for the cover...and I fully support the decision. The 4k version of the film is just gorgeous and has never looked better. While the audio may not be in Dolby Atmos, it DOES still pack quite a punch where vibrancy and depth are concerned. I'd swear at times it sounded WIDER than the previous DTS HD Master Audio did. I love that they kept the 4k able to branch for both versions of the movie. I have not rewatched any of the extra features as they are on a separate bluray, same as the previous bluray release. Highly Recommend as i don't know if this steelbook will always be available!

I enjoyed this movie even though it is long. But, WOW! The 4K makes this movie pop on my TV. Made the movie even better!

Peter Jackson's take on King Kong its as great as the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. A must have for fans of the Great Ape!!

You got both versions of the film on 4K on disc. Still a very enjoyable film to this day and the steelbook looks great.

King Kong is amazing and awesome graphics. It kept your attention and by the end of the movie you felt for King Kong.
