This movie is one of my favorites all time. There is just something about how Peter Jackson just catches the feel of 1933 New York or the adventurous feeling of getting on an old barge and heading out to sea. The mystery of when they find the Island and the beauty of Kong. There are some over the top moments I could do without like the dinosaur stampede but for me the rest of the movie is top notch. The part when Kong and Watts character have one last fun light moment together on the ice in central park always brings a tear to my eye because you know what's coming for the big guy. I just really love this film. If you are wondering about the 4k this movie is top notch picture and DTS-X sound. Actually one of the best pictures I have ever seen on a 4k bluray disc. And the music score for this movie is also amazing and really adds an emotional feel to the film. Go get this one for sure!

This is one of the most beautiful looking films to view in 4K. Plus the steelbook looks great

...and it feels like a long movie. It takes a while to get moving, but still worth it. The 4k makes some of the cgi stand out a bit more.

This film is really much better than I remember it being. Peter Jackson is an excellent director and you can see how much he loves Kong.

I have to confess to liking the movie but do feel it could have been a lot better had there been about 30 minutes or so of editing.

King Kong 4K version I found to be ok. There was some improvement in picture quality but the overall experience for me was just ok.
