to start, it is a great historical story about the battle to retake Jerusalem from Saladin. Orlando Bloom is perfectly cast as the leader of the Christian Crusade before Richard the Lionhearted. The conflict ends with a truce executed with sanity and compassion that is rarely seen today. It is a truly inspiring film about two giants in history. The film is visually beautiful.

This film Is one of the best films with regard to the middle east and takes a more realistic view of the crusades. While it has always been a glven that it was a holy crusade in reality there was so much fighting with in france and surrounding areas that the pope started the crusades in order to try and unite the the knights and leaders by the promise of forgivness for all and any sins.

In my view is a very solid movie, filmed very well. Interesting snap shot of a time period that you don't see a lot of movies done about. NOT just another King Arthur movie, that's for sure!! Could not get wife to watch it a 2nd time though, she is not a fan of "war" movies. The new anniversary edition is great with extras, bonus material. Skip buying the older version and go straight for this one, good price point right now.

Pack a lunch and sharpen your concentration skills! We're talking a three hour epic drama that demands your full attention. In the usual Ridley Scott fashion, a tightly knit story of a commoner's rise to knighthood and leadership during the Crusades. If you're like me you may have to watch the movie twice to glean all the details of plot. However, it is a very fine movie!

The theatrical cut of this movie was a disappointment, to say the least. But this Bluray includes not only theatrical cut and director's cut (which is about 45 minutes longer) of the movie, there's "roadside" version which is 5 minutes longer than director's cut and includes intermission. Well worth the purchase, especially at the price that Best Buy is selling now.

this new Blu-ray kingdom of heaven has a lot more interesting thing in it that were not in the original that recites historical times of the Crusades pretty accurately how cool my medic my bag most sides could be the stew the Muslims would send their doctors to attend to our nights and I King Jerusalem one additional pads to the end of the movie where he'll and his queen go off back to the Highlands. This is a really good movie, if you enjoy an epic adventure and lots of sword fighting action, Ridley scott is one of my favorite directors, and have not seen a movie of his i didnt like. Shipping was fast and secure.

The package contains two discs with a "10th anniversary edition" sticker outside the cellophane wrap. This "ultimate" edition includes all three cuts, and the two extended cuts add much more depth to the characters than the theatrical release. The bonus materials are wonderful, too. The audio/video quality is excellent for blu-ray.

This movie is with good cinematography, often the same as the director's other movies. The price is good.

There are many reasons why movies are re-cut or added-to but that means the viewer must purchase each version of the movie that he/she likes. The wonderful fact in purchasing this specific Blue Ray is it contains all 3 versions of "Kingdom". The viewer can now watch each version and decide the pros & cons of each with just one purchase.

I've never seen a movie where the directors cut was so radically better than the original. Like many others when I originally saw the movie I thought it was pretty mediocre. However, this significantly longer version adds so much more and turns Kingdom of Heaven into one of the best historical movies I've ever seen.

Great acting in this movie I recommend watching the directors cut roadshow version which is available on this disc. The uniforms of the knights and soldiers look very Authentic. Orlando Bloom Does a phenomenal job Portraying Balium .

If you love this movie and want ALL the version, then look no further than this Blu-ray. This has the FAR SUPERIOR director’s cut and a few other versions. So yourself a favor and buy this version. History buffs will get a kick out of this movie!

This movie was on sale, and based on the reviews, I decided to get it, since I had not watched it yet. After watching it, I am giving it a 5 stars for being a great epic movie. The war scenes are pretty good, and for the price I paid, this is a great addition to my movie collection.

Seems like either you love this movie or you hate it. It's a bit long, so it's hard to get others to watch, but I really enjoy it. Honestly, I'm not sure I've ever watched the theatrical cut, but others say that the director's cut really made it better, so I'll take their word for it!

One of my favorite movies all time! Not sure about its historical accuracy, but it does show a very interesting side of the time period. Action packed and full of great performances from Orlando Bloom, Liam Neeson, Eva Green, and a masked Edward Norton! Highly recommend if you're a fan action, drama, and a great stories!

The ultimate edition blu ray offers every extra a movie collector could ask for, from multiple versions of the movie to extensive making of documentaries and galleries. If you haven't seen this movie or have only seen the theatrical version, this is a highly recommended purchase that you won't regret.

I love Ridley Scott but when i watched this extended cut and the nearly 10 hours of special features it replaced Alien as his best work which is hard for me to say. He did it and this film is key for showing as is the film the Mission how religion is full of fanatics and not such good people

This has the elusive director's cut that makes the film 100x more enjoyable. I rarely buy physical for televisions or movies, but this was a must for me. Bonus: If you enjoy Game of Thrones, there are two minor roles played by prominent characters in GoT. See if you can spot them!!!
