This was a beautiful film, great direction, but way too long. The story line was vague. Trimming time off the length of the film could have made the it more of a joy to watch without nodding.

Although I bought this on sale for $4.99, I would say it was a steal. It's a very long film 3+ hours I believe. I will have to watch it again and pay attention the next time. Lol.

I'm biased to this movie simply because its historically inaccurate. The quality of the movie itself (cinematography) is great. The extended addition adds some missing flavor as well.

This is definitely not Ridley Scott's best but it was still a solid movie. I will have to watch it again. Perhaps I will like it better a second time.

This is a good directors cut but the movie still isn’t fantastic

The ultimate edition is a much better film than the theatrical cut. They should have just put this version in theaters.

This blu Ray has 3 versions of the movie on it. Plus many extras. Everything is in good quality as well. Recommended.

I was a big fan of the original film and was always curious to see the director's cut. Now that I have, I understand why the extra material was left out of the theatrical release. It's still a pretty good movie, and the Blu-ray transfer is definitely good looking, but the extra footage - almost an hour's worth - needlessly complicates the story.

Good family entertainment. I would recommend this to those that like this era.

I enjoyed this movie and it is good to be able have the Blu-ray.
