So on Valentine's Day this year, my boyfriend surprised me with a date night at the movies. We never go to the movies because hey, it can get kind of expensive. We went expecting to see 50 Shades of Grey because it was " my choice" of movies. However, the shows were sold out, so the only other movie playing for the next hour and a half was Kingsman. I had seen commercials of the movie and it didn't seem so bad, hey, it had Samuel L. Jackson for crying out loud, how bad could it be??? After all was said and done, both myself and my boyfriend were REALLY REALLY glad that 50 shades of Grey was sold out because we couldn't have seen a better movie! It was funny, had great action, and tons of stunts and the accent of the lisp from SLJ was funny as all get out. I will not reveal the best part ( well CHEAKY so to speak) at the end that will make you go WHAT THE FUDGE did he just say? But make sure you pay attention!

A very different and entertaining movie, the 4k transfer was satisfactory. Overall a good purchase

This is one of my favorite films from 2015. Kingsman: the Secret Service has action, laughs, a fun plot, and a remarkable cast. This film reminds me of when spy films were fun and did not take itself too seriously. While I am also a fan of the Bourne films and the Daniel Craig James Bond, I miss the bombastic way that spy films use to be. This film has some really awesome action sequences including one where Colin Firth kicks all kinds of butt. The laughs are plenty as one would expect from a film based off a Mark Millar property. This film also manages to tell an interesting and fully fleshed out plot while also serving as an origin story. While all of the recognizable names in the cast do an excellent job, relative unknowns Taron Egerton and Sofia Boutella more than hold their own on screen next to the likes of Samuel L. Jackson, and the aforementioned Colin Firth. All in all, I would highly recommend this film.
