The secret agent plot and story line are good, but there is just too much graphic violence for most audiences especially kids.

Not what I expected based on previews and reviews. If you need a laugh, you will get one with this movie, but only one.

This movie was given to me as a gift. I didn't like the movie in the first place so returned it unopened.

Vastly overrated Mathew Vaughns' X-men First Class is way better.

What a ride! This was entertainment at it's best, a kind of James Bond meets Kill Bill meets Harry Potter. The premise is simple: Eggsy, the main younger character, and a talented yet troubled youth of sorts is invited to try out for the Kingsmen. The first part of the movie is primarily training, interaction with the inevitable entitled bullies, etc. Of course, there is a mentor, played by Colin Firth, who is absolutely amazing in this role - stiff upper lip and all, but who does let his emotional side come through occasionally in his interactions with young Eggsy as he learns and grows. No spy movie is complete without a super villain intent on world domination, and Samuel L Jackson plays this to the hilt, along with being quite squeamish about blood and violence. His outfits alone are worth watching. This entire movie feels like an homage to the spy movies of the past, with top notch acting, believable character interactions, and some incredible frolicking fight scenes.

I wrote this review when the movie remake of The Man From U.N.C.L.E. came out in theaters. I have to say that THAT movie WISHES it could be THIS one. [And I think the reviews and box office data support it.] This movie is the big-screen adaptation of a graphic novel by Mark Millar, and has a general quirkiness like the Kick-A** graphic novel [which Mr. Millar also wrote...and which I can't spell out properly on this web site due to "inappropriate language"]. This flick has: --some cool Watchmen-style slow-motion action sequences --some fast Black Widow-meets-Kill Bill fight scenes --humor --style --subtle elegance --good, old-fashioned gentleman spies and their cool toys --a Bond-style henchwoman with a unique, deadly gimmick [in this case, lethal prosthetics from the knees down...each of which oddly reminds me of a sewing machine needle assembly for some reason] --a deliciously zany Samuel L. Jackson playing a semi-serious [and smarter] Dr. Evil-type with nerdy glasses, a lisp, and a gangsta-style baseball cap with oversized bill The movie is an amalgam of older spy genre movies and TV shows-- back when they were actually FUN to watch. It has its serious aspects, but is not the darker fare we've received since 1987 [when Timothy Dalton took over the James Bond role]. This one is definitely intelligent and entertaining in an offbeat and refreshing manner. The disc's extras [special features] take an extensive look behind the production of the movie. They're interesting, if lengthy and tedious at times.

I saw this film at the movies with my brother and we both enjoyed it very much. All at once, in some parts of the film, you will feel like you are watching a scene from Spy Kids, James Bond, and Tarantino. A very fun film

Great movie and pretty good 4k transfer, would recommend

Saw this in the theatre when it first came out and loved it so much that I picked up this Blu-Ray when it was on sale for $12.99. This is definitely one of the best movies I saw during 2015 and I would recommend everyone checking it out if they haven't already done so. Matthew Vaughn has created a nice comic send-up of the classic James Bond films while adding a contemporary twist. Colin Firth really steals the show here and Samuel L. Jackson makes for a great villain. The picture quality on this disc is of course very outstanding and there are also a few extras along with a digital copy. Fans of classic spy flicks and cleverly-written comedies can't go wrong by having this movie in their video collection.

The qualify of the disc and the container it came in are impeccable. It even has a protective cardboard slipcover over top of it to protect the contents. The masterful quality of the blue plastic surrounding the blueray leads me to believe that Renaissance artisans crafted this container and the artwork. The movie itself contained on the disc was transferred masterfully and all features work. I am happy to report I didn't choke on the plastic surrounding the container when I removed it as I know plastic can be a choking hazard and disposed of it properly. I then went on to watch this epic movie in 7.1 audio and giggled at it's many comedic moments that too made it onto the rendered version of this disc.

Everything in this movie is great. The actors, the interactions among them, the comedy, and the action is wickedly sick. I would recommend it to any comic book fan and someone who isn't easily offended. If you're over sensitive, this film might not be for you. Saw it in the theaters which surprised me being so good as the trailers didn't do justice for me and I bought it day one on blu ray because I love this film.

This movie is awesome!!!! I didn't see it in theaters and I was more than pleasantly surprised on how good this movie is. Awesome cast....awesome action....everything about this movie is awesome!!!! I hope there will be a second installment. Do yourself a favor and buy this movie!
