Absolutely love it. Was just what I was looking for for my small kitchen with limited counter space. And the hood vent was a bonus. When family and friends see it they immediately want a new one for themselves.

We bought this to fit an existing over the range microwave. After install we didn’t like the height and it seemed like we were reaching up to take hot things out. Shorter family members will have an issue reaching it. The product does look great and seems well built. We ended up returning it and got a countertop model.

Installed as per instructions and add ventilation system to blow to outside. So far happy with unit.

We love this microwave but we’ve had it exactly a month and two of the buttons are already missing their font. (“Open” in the first photo. “Fan” in the second.) Incredibly disappointing that KitchenAid would let this pass quality control.

Love our new microwave! So happy we found one to fit over the stovetop with our existing cupboards! It looks so nice and my grandson loves how it sends him messages “enjoy”!

We got the microwave installed last week and we love it! The fan is louder than we were expecting it to be, but no biggie.

This is the first time we have been able to grill on our gas stove without having the smoke alarms go off. We really like that the range hood has 500 CFM'S and has a microwave. We originally were going to have a custom range hood put in until we saw this one. It was a great choice for us.

Cooking four pieces of bacon and the unit has a horrendous amount of steam and dripping in the microwave and the door. The lights flicker also. I called for repair and they had no answers for either issue other than “they don’t make good gaskets on this microwave”.

Just disappointed. Unit looks decent, but after I installed it, I found both vent filters had mold on them. Lights aren’t very bright No option to hardwire without cutting the plug off Very unlikely that I’ll keep this

Functional and beautiful. Love the smaller size-tall enough for my needs but not bulky and ugly, I really like the streamlined appearance. The customized cooking/reheating/defrost systems are so easy to operate you won't even need a manual. Lighting, and vent system is efficient and easy to clean. Again, no explanation needed.

Love the idea of this low profile microwave. It freed up so much space above the cooking surface. We used to have rear control range and a normal height microwave and it was hard to access the rear with taller pots. We did a kitchen remodel and used GE Cafe White Matte appliances so I took a gamble on the whites from two different companies matching. I think they look great together. The white does not show smudges like on the old SS one so that's nice. The only con is the fan which is rather loud even on the lower settings but it does it job. If Kitchenaid / Whirlpool is taking notes maybe work on that one aspect.

The cabinet over my range was too low to install a full size microwave. The size of this microwave is the same size as the previous hood. The under microwave lighting is excellent. The microwave instructions or terrible! And using the touch pad to select cook time and power levels is almost impossible. I just use the start button and keep pressing it for 30 more seconds to reach the required cook time. The cooking is great but using the touch pad is not user friendly. Also, I cannot hear the finish notification bell even if I have my ear right next to the microwave! The black stainless steel still shows fingerprints! If you need a shorter microwave to place over your range, this is a good choice. Unfortunately it isn't user friendly.

Nice looking low profile microwave. Powerful fan. Bright lights. Plenty big enough for everything I’ve needed so far. Installation manual is really bad. Would be nice at this price for the keypad to be backlit. Would be nice to have more brightness levels for light.

We love the slim profile. The fan is powerful but there are 4 speeds. Light has two. My son thinks the self open feature is so cool. Easy to use. Still getting used to the number pad being on the inside and not outside.

This is exactly what we were looking for and with discounts on top of Open Box, it was more affordable than expected. The slim design works much better above our stove than our old behemoth. We no longer have to shimmy our largest canning pot under our old large microwave that hung down 8+" further. It also functions better in heating and reheating food more evenly and efficiently. There are several settings for reheating different types of foods and an intuitive navigation system to choose the proper setting and time. The fan is effective and attached easily to exhaust outside. The lights are great and since our old microwave lights burned out years ago, it is refreshing to be able to see what we're cooking on the stove top again! My wife and I installed this using the relatively easy to follow instructions and understanding gained by removing our old microwave. It is solid and well balanced without needing an expert to install. The look and feel, such as push button door release give it a great high-end feel. We love it!

I love the Kitchen Aid Low Profile Microwave features! It allows a lot of space between the cooking area . It’s a nice stainless steel design the inside has stain release making it a breeze to keep clean. The LED lighting is bright and adjustable. The fan has 5 speeds and is very powerful.

Purchased 2 units. The micrwave, light , and vent work as designed, but the labels on the buttons rub off. They disapeared after 4 or 5 months of use on both units. So you don’t know what the function buttons are for. I had to put clear tape on buttons so labels don’t rub off. Called for warranty and Kitchenaid said it was not a warranty issue. We use only water to clean buttons and it still rubs off. I would give it a 5 star if it were not for that manufacture defect.

This high profile microwave is sleek and attractive. I like how the number display is hidden behind the door. It appears smaller but it actually has plenty of space on the inside. Pops popcorn with no problem which is important in this house! The light is nice a bright. The fan is a little loud but I typically do not use it anyway. It takes a little getting used to a new process but I am very happy with the purchase.

So far it’s very good, great looking appliances by kitchen aid I am felling love with.don’t want to spend more but ending up buying 2nd appliance from kitchen aid. Only complaint I have is with installation, it’s little higher than normal height, we are all an average height people. Maybe it’s because of the dimensions of the microwave? Not sure. Will try to ask the team,

I live in a small home so space can be priceless. This microwave was perfect. I replaced my vent above my stove and it didn't take up much more room. It is very easy to install and I like that the controls are hidden. Helps keep everything clean and sleek looking. The fan is very powerful and the light is convenient over the stove. I would recommend, especially if you are limited on space.
