This is a super fancy microwave, it works perfectly.

I definitely had high holes for this microwave. But even at max power this is quite underpowered. As an example in my old Panasonic countrrtop microwave rehearing a cup of coffee took 20 seconds. In tbis it takes at lest 60 seconds. Also this not any quieter than my Panasonic countertop model at all. If anything its louder.

Slower to heat up than our previous oven, that was still working great after 16years. Feel like it takes longer to cook the food to the same point as well.

Microwave had two bulges in the front panel. Best Buy is sending out a replacement but it will be 6 weeks.

Delivered and installed, never worked, looks nice but cant use it. Geek squad is unable to service it.

This has to be replaced. The whole panel went out and the display couldn’t engage. While it looks good getting the issue resolved was a nightmare three weeks worth.

Makes loud sound even after the cooking is completed

Lasted one year and three weeks from purchase and less than a year from install! Purchased to match all my other kitchen did appliances. Used very lightly for simple reheating coffee and food. Very disappointing!!

Just purchase this appliance 3 months ago and it stopped working. Does not warm up anything anymore. This is quite the disappointment after spending 1,400 $$ for it.

Broken upon arrival. Have to go thru kitchen aid to fix it. Took a year to get it. Never again!!!!

This is a great design that matches our KitchenAid appliances. The features and performance are top notch. The included convection accessories are very good quality. I like that the tones and display are the same as the double oven. Microwaves often look like the afterthought of the kitchen, but not this one. The only issue was that the KitchenAid badge was not centered on the oven door. Hopefully, warranty service can resolve that. It is off center by about 1.5 inches! Other than that, it is a tremendous unit and I would purchase it again.

Had it for 1 year six month and it died. Spent $1k on it.

The microwave functions fine, no better or worse. Generally looks good. But, what bothers me and therefore makes me not want to recommend this is. 1. There is no freaking timer on this. There is a timer for cooking, but if you want a timer for general use in the kitchen it is not available on this microwave. The product description isn't clear because it says it comes with a timer, but this is only for cooking. 2. The kitchenmaid logo on the front of the microwave is large and obnoxious. Gaudy. My micro is placed above my coffee maker so maybe it's noticeable because the logo is a little below eye level. If you don't need a timer and the gaudy logo doesn't bother you, this functions fine.

I spent a lot of time researching microwaves before buying the 2014 model. I mean weeks and months. I went with this microwave because there weren't any bad reviews and since it was so pricey and came with a five year warranty on its electrical and touch control parts, I felt there was a great chance this would last. It didn't. The fuse went out before two years were up related to the force of the door being closed. (As you can tell, the door closes upward and not sideways causing it to exert force when it closes). So I went through the kitchen aid warranty to get a service representative. I paid 85$ for them to assess it and give me a quote. I told him we were under warranty still for the electrical. He said that fuses weren't covered under electrical. And so the two safety switches and thermostat (which automatically go out when the fuse breaks according to the rep.), and fuse plus labor came to 480.62. Not worth it. What warranty?

Great looking microwave. I have gotten so many compliments on it. Unfortunately just after two years it stopped working. I got an error code and it won’t work. I purchased the extended 5 year warranty, thankfully. I have had a tech at my house three times now and it’s still not working. Very frustrating after all the money it cost and the time I waited for it.

Matches the rest of our kitchen and seems very well built, as KitchenAid always is. But, look closely, this microwave has no keypad at all. Everyone knows how to run a microwave. Not this one. I think they went overboard with the pre-programming. Maybe I'll feel differently after using it a while.
