Ours is over the stove and replaced a previous micro/hood combo. Pros: the color, its heavy duty, the various options that work well for convection and air fryer in addition to the microwave function, comes with all that’s needed to use said functions. Popcorn option is perfect. Cons: door closes automatically, it’s hit my head a couple times, I’m short. Exhaust fan option is weak even with the vent exhaust going outside, the handle gets hot since it’s metal. Vent off or timer is not user friendly. Have to push the vent button six times to turn it off. Timer is even harder to set up. Cleaning the vents is not easy, you need a screw driver to remove and clean the filters.

TL;DR: This is an awesome, quiet microwave that heats evenly and installs easily. Sadly, we had to return it because our 16-inch deep cabinets blocked the top front vent. Make sure your upper cabinets are 14 inches deep or less before buying. Full Review: We were actually really excited about this microwave. It arrived well packaged and the installation instructions were incredibly clear. Between the two of us, it took about 45 minutes to get it mounted. We managed to reuse the wall anchor holes from our old microwave, and the included template completely took the guesswork out of the process. Once the bracket was secured, we just lifted the unit into place and bolted it from the top using the existing holes again. Everything was going smoothly until we stepped back and realized our upper cabinet was way too deep. Our cabinets measure about 16 inches, which completely obstructed the top front vent grille of the microwave. We didn't even notice the problem until all the hardware was tight and we saw that the face of the microwave was flush with the cabinet doors. That left no room for the exhaust air to escape. We looked everywhere for a bump-out bracket to shift the mounting location away from the wall but we had no luck. If your cabinets are 14 inches deep or less, you will have plenty of clearance for the vent to flow freely (see image). Before giving up on it, we tested it out a few times. It runs very quietly and heats food fast and evenly. The inside lighting is bright, the cooktop light is helpful and the exhaust fan has serious power. The blower assembly is versatile and easily converts for rear wall venting, top roof venting, or recirculation. It only took us about 15 minutes to switch the blower from wall to roof venting just by following the manual step by step. It looks really nice in the kitchen and the door latches securely with a smooth feel. The keypad buttons are tactile and responsive, though I will admit they show fingerprints almost instantly. At least the smooth surface makes it easy to wipe down. Sadly, after just a few hours on the wall, we had to take it down. We switched the vent back to the rear position, boxed everything back up with the accessories, and returned it to Best Buy. We had to swap it for a different model that didn't need top front venting. It was a total bummer because we really liked this one and honestly, it felt like a much better unit than the replacement we ended up bringing home. Product: KitchenAid - 1.9 Cu. Ft. KitchenAid microwave! I love this microwave , it a great accompliment to my kitchenaid induction stove! I use the air fryer and the convection when I’m cooking for just the two of us! Many great features make this microwave a great second oven!

An efficient microwave with a nice fan and a great amount of space inside. Lots of options with attachments/shelves/inserts. If you like cooking with a microwave you're in luck because this air-frys and everything. The door is enormously large and swings WIDE and you need to make sure there's room for everything to be open at once. It's a bit of a hazard in our kitchen when the door is open.

I’m still figuring this microwave out. No recipe book or ideas on how to use each feature other than a small laminated sheet. I love all the cool features and an additional oven. Works like a champ. I’m still experimenting with the air fryer. Kitchen aid needs to offer a cookbook for this application.

So far I love this microwave! The power is exactly how it should be. I have made crispy chicken strips with the air fryer function. It is easy to clean. Next I will try the grill function.

Love the features! Steamed vegetables come out so good. Even air fried French fries! So much more for me to try out. Delivery and installation were great.

We live in a smaller condo and wanted to save space so we got this all in one unit and haven't looked back. It's been amazing so far! We make toast/bagels in it (like normal people), bake, microwave, and air fry. We actually use two induction hot plates and this and got rid of our traditional stove all together. It is saved us so much space and is a blast to use. It's allowed us to have way more storage in our kitchen, since we no longer need a traditional oven stove, and we are stoked with the change. Highly recommend!

Beautiful new KitchenAid microwave! very quiet, many great presets. both conventional and convection oven makes every thing easier.

I like this a lot. It’s heavy duty, and cooks well. I like the multifunction features and the included racks. Now that we finally got the vent hooked up, I have really enjoyed that as well.

Have had this for over 2 months and continue to use all the features. From reheating food, to steaming broccoli, to late night air frying chicken wings- this delivers.

It has only been a few weeks, but this thing gets my food hot without making my bowl 1000 degrees like my last microwave did. The butter mely feature works very well. The air fryer does not get food as criapy as a traditional air fryer, but it works well enough and is quick. I actually am not big on the printshield satainless steel, but its bot a huge deal, just a personal preference.

I love my KitchenAid microwave/convection oven /air fryer! Three different appliances in one unit that does not heat up my kitchen. I'm 5 ft 2, so seeing what's in the oven is a bit difficult because the control panel is at the bottom of the door. If the control panel was put at the top of the door this unit would be absolutely perfect!

As with our range this was purchased to replace a microwave that had the temperament of a grumpy old man on his porch yelling at kids to get off his lawn. It worked when it wanted too. This unit however is modern and a breath of fresh air. We are still trying to get through all of the features, which there are many. The accessories that is comes with will eat up a few inches of pantry space, but well worth the venture.

Bought this item less than a week, but so far, I am loving it. It looks great, heats my food in the time expected & very easy to use. The conventional oven works like a charm. I think I will be doing a lot of cooking in this oven. Oh, excellence quality.
