I chose the freezer on the bottom as I wanted more fridge space for food with no wasted space between the side freezer model. It works very well for my in home Child Care program. It holds many gallons of milk. I like the separation for the Veges/fruits and the meats/cheeses. I am very pleased.

I had to purchase that separate and install it before the ice maker and water spout would function.

I would recommend if someone not interested to use water filter.

Defect from factory, bad warranty from BestBuy

Turns out the bottom door wouldn't seal due to a manufacturer defect. Now we are waiting at least 6 weeks for a new bottom door! Ridiculous. Geeksquad won't service this since it's a Kitchenaid appliance (for the 1st year it has to be serviced thru Kitchenaid/Whirlpool), and Kitchenaid/Whirlpool couldn't locate our address so they refused to come out. We had to find our own local appliance repair guy for the repairs.
