I was replacing a 10 year old Kitchen Aid dishwasher with this new one. The pump in the old one died, and getting a replacement was very difficult, so we went new. The new unit is quieter, but has no food grinder in it. It has a more robust and thoughtful rack arrangement. I especially like the hard covers over the silverware baskets that don't collapse when you add pieces. I also like the third (flat) rack at the very top of the dishwasher which is perfect for long knives, spatulas, and spoons, anything that will lie down flat. The second level has a basket in the back that is perfect for small lids, plastic measuring cups or spoons and it takes up almost no room. I've put some really baked on food in the unit already, activated the "tough" cycle and the dishes came out spotless. It's so quiet I can barely hear it running. Also highly recommend the controls on top with the handle out front. The old unit had buttons on the front and we were forever turning it on and off by accident. Been about two months now, very happy with our purchase, but $1,000 bucks plus still feels like a ton of money for a dishwasher to me. The Best Buy installer was fast, professional, and careful, he was masked-up and did everything without making us feel unsafe.

I've been slowly replacing my kitchen appliances and this happened to be on sale. I was worried because my older KitchenAid was one of the last ones with garbage disposals in it which meant I didn't have to rinse my dishes before putting them in. The dishes are cleaner than ever and the dishwasher is unbelievably quiet. Most of the time I have to walk right up to it to figure out if its running.

Does a great job of cleaning and drying everything. Very quiet. Well design rack layout.

Got this to replace an aging unit and to match our new fridge. This dishwasher looks great and performs just as well. Have always been impressed with Kitchenaid products and this one is no exception. The flexibility this unit provides gives us many options in utilizing the interior. The hidden top shelf has come in quite handy (but sometimes we forget it's there). Overall, I highly recommend it.

Cleans better than the 22 year old model I replaced and is much quieter.

This has to be the quietest washer I’ve never heard. So far it’s running like a top.

This is a whisper quiet dishwasher that performs 10x better than my previous machine (GE). Cleans very thoroughly and has several cleaning options to choose from. I use the bottle option frequently and is great to have for water bottles or coffee tumblers. The third upper rack is a gimmick and hardly used. Overall a fantastic dishwasher. Great buy.

I replaced an older KitchenAid dishwasher with this one about a month ago. So far, the dishwasher has done a nice job for me. Never thought I’d say this, but the flat rack at the very top is really useful. But, my favorite feature is the bottle washer. I was concerned about the lack of a control lock on this model, but, it turns out that since the controls are hidden on the top door edge, it’s not an issue.

This machine is quiet and does a good job cleaning. The standard dry, however, leaves pools of water behind.
