This is the first I have read the booklet on how to use the dishwasher. I'm glad I did. I didn't want another useless dishwasher, but I was told (by many people) that it does help sell a home. People want a dishwasher, grrr. So I reluctantly purchased this one at the recommendation of the rep., read the instructions, and I love it. It works! I don't think I have ever had or used a dishwasher that worked before. I know longer wash the dishes before I wash the dishes! Oh and I love the top rack! This has three racks. I use them all. I have a family of three. When my dishwasher doesn't seem full, I will pick up knickknacks (vases, utensil holder, toothbrush holder) around the house and toss them in! Stuff always needs cleaning. I utilize that top rack for all delicate items such as rubberized utensils, lids, my all steel knives that aren't to go in there at all. There isn't a whole lot of room on the top rack as it sits high up there. We absolutely love it. My dishes come out DRY and clean. READ the manual. I am glad I did.

From the first wash this dishwasher smells like rotting garbage. I have used all the cleaners that Kitchenaid asked me to use and had a tech person come out. He agreed with me that the dishwasher smells but could not find a reason. Going to have to go to Best Buy and see about returning it - cannot live with this for the next 8-10 years!

Worst dishwasher
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I washed dishes that I had cooked and eaten lamb on and all my dishes came out smelling like old lamb. There were spots on all over my All Clad pans. I selected every button possible for a deep clean. My kenmore dishwasher which broke was WAY better. The dishes even felt different when they came out. They were not squeaky clean like the Kenmore. I wish I would have kept my Kenmore and paid 600 for replacement parts than have this headache installed. I will be returning it.

Bad pump in this dishwasher
