This is a solid dishwasher. Runs quiet, however takes over 3 hours to clean. The ProDry is a nice function and mostly dries the dishes, although you still need to tip bowels or cups in the top rack if they have indentations. Not having a plastic inside is a big difference.

Though we've had this only about two weeks, so far it's been great. Super quiet and cleans the dishes very well. Dries 'em well, also. Shelving and inside features are perfect for us. No top slide out silverware tray which my wife did not want. Silverware basket and other inside baskets completely meet that need and are far quicker to load. Self-cleaning filter so no filters to worry about. Built for a 24" space which we have, it was a tight squeeze to fit it in. But the talented Best Buy installer (Geek?) did a great job with that as well as the entire install process. if you're considering a Bosch, at least check out Kitchenaid. This machine is feature rich compared to the same sticker price Bosch machine, and online reviewers claim current model Kitchenaid's reliability to be nearly equal to that of the Bosch machines. Time will tell on that.

The Good: we can put bowls on the bottom rack as well as the top. we tend to use a lot of glasses, so the top rack fills up. Extremely quiet. Cleans dirty dishes well.
The Not So Good: the tray in the back of the top rack takes up space. did not clean some knives that were in there. A part on the top rack that controls the changing of the position of the tines fell off. No instructions on how to put it back on. I had to go to YouTube and watch several videos, not how to reapply it but rather how it looks on the rack. Then, we were able to fix it.
Bottom line, we love this dishwasher.

We've had this dishwasher for a few months now, and so far it has been great. The most noteworthy benefit is that it is really, really quiet. So much in-fact that we barely hear it running and sometimes have to check to see if it really on and is washing the dishes. We had a Bosch before this which was also quiet and we thought a dishwasher could not get any more quiet until we got this KitchenAid!
Of course the most important aspect of any dishwasher is whether the dishes come-out clean or not, and this KitchenAid does a great job at that as well. We have placed all sort of dishes, utensils, pots and pans in this thing, and they all have come-out spotless.
As for the drying, it does a fair job, I would say about as good as the Bosch we had which was known to dry the dishes well.
Overall, I would recommend this dishwasher.

I had no experience with KitchenAid before this dishwasher but the reviews were pretty good so I took a chance. First, this thing is so quiet you have to go over and stand with your ear to it to make sure it's on. Since we have one long kitchen, eating area, and family room, this was essential. Second, my last dishwasher cleaned nice like this one but the drying cycle is SO much better. I would still get items wet after hours but not so here. Last, it does have lots of areas for loading items of different sizes like wine glass holders, small item basket and more. The display on the top took time to get used to but I like it now. All in all, a nice dishwasher.

To be fair, our old dishwasher sounded like a freight train. This model is so quiet, I literally have to put my ear up against it to make sure it's running! It does a very fine job cleaning the dishes and it's ProScrub feature cleaned a very baked on lasagna pan beautifully! I HIGHLY encourage you to read the User Manual that comes with it as it has some very helpful tips how to load the unit to get the maximum cleaning benefit from it. On the downside... it is a little small for a family of four and the racks are not that adjustable. We used to be able to fill the dishwasher with four meals of dishes and now, it's only about three meals. Still, my family and I are VERY impressed with this model!

I ran the dishwasher for the first time and had to double to check to be sure it was on! It's so quiet and the dishes come out sparkling clean! No finger print stainless steel is the best!

You barely know the machine is running, it's so quiet. Easy to load and unload. Although I know it's capacity is the same as my old dishwasher, this one seems to hold more.

This is not our first kitchen aid dishwasher. Our first one was in the 1980s through the years and different houses we had other brands that were ok but not as good as the kitchen aid we had. We replaced our old whirlpool with a kitchen aid 3 years ago. It was great but the controls were on the front and if we didn’t lock it we would turn it on reaching over the counter.
We recently moved again and had to replace a Maytag. We made sure to chose a kitchen aid with controls that were on the top of the door. Does a great job it does take 3 hours but everything comes out clean on the “pro wash “ setting

What a week! Shopping for new appliances is not my cup of tea and am Thrilled with my new Kitchen Aid Dishwasher and the total quietness leaves me checking the front panel to see it IS washing!!!
No more clanking dishes and noise what so ever! So far so good.
I did learn one thing...the first load was wet? Not happy!
Read the instructions is helpful, now using the drying feature we have clean and dry dishes...
I'm sure I have more to learn...and we opted out of the handle so our swinging monkey grandkids....can't!

I am extremely disappointed with my new dishwasher. After reading extensive reviews, I decided on the top of the line Kitchen Aide dishwasher. We replaced a Bosch dishwasher the had served us well for many years. I decided not to go with another Bosch due to the drying system, and my dishes always had to be hand dried with the Bosch.
The Kitchen Aide dishwasher looks sleek, and it is exceptionally quiet. The racks are easy to load. and it has a huge amount of storage.
The negatives are the detergent storage seems very cheap. I would expect this dishwasher to last a long time, but the detergent storage feels like it will fall off in you hand. The dishes in this dishwasher stilll have water on them at the end of the cycle. If i wanted to hand dry my dishes, I would have not bought such an expensive dishwasher. The dishes also seem clean, but they never smell clean.
I would purchase a moderate range dishwasher for half of the price. This dishwasher has not met my expectations nor justified the price.

Maybe it's early to write a review , so i will keep it updated as we go. it cleans really well compered to our old LG. also very very quite and drying also great.
i think space of the lower rack is not well designed at least for our loads. , we have to lose some space if we have bowls. it's good for flat dishes but not bowls. we tried different adjustable configurations on the rack but still we see waste of space.
otherwise , we are very happy with this dishwasher sofar

Great Dishwasher - Champ at Drying

We did a lot of research and purchased this dishwasher because it was highly rated in a consumer magazine. We would have liked to get one with the third rack, but this was the only one that had a flat front (no bar handle), fingerprint resistant stainless steel exterior (important for us), extended pro dry and self cleaning filter. We have been using it for 9 months and are very satisfied with it's performance. It is very quiet. You really have to listen to tell that it is running. It does an excellent job at cleaning. We do not pre-rinse and the dishes, glasses and silverware come out sparkling. Most importantly, it dries better than any dishwasher we have owned. Plastic cups and containers come out totally dry. The only place water collects is in the rim of lids and in the bottom of some glasses and mugs but even then, not much as compared with other dishwashers. Most of our glasses don't even have water collect there. Emptying the dishwasher takes so much less time since there is almost no hand drying required. It is amazing as compared to our last dishwasher that required plastic items to be dried with a towel. The fingerprint resistant stainless finish is a great feature and looks good with only occasional cleaning. The prowash cycle takes a few hours to run, but we usually run it at night so it is not an issue for us. There is an express wash cycle which we occasionally use if we have lots of dishes from a party and it cleans well. I wondered about this feature as to how it could wash the dishes as well as the normal cycle, but I read in the instruction manual that it is able to clean the dishes as well by using more water and energy, which makes sense. The only drawback we have found with this dishwasher is that it is easy to accidentally activate the controls when opening and closing the door. It won't turn on unless you press start and close the door within 4 seconds, but the display will flash until you press cancel. This is truly a great dishwasher.

So far we love this dishwasher. It is very effective cleaning all your dishes, pots, pans, etc. Qiet. Cleaning cyclle takes a long time. Two or more hours. Has not been a problem so far and have not used the quick cycle. LOVE the heated drying. Dishes come out spotless. Do not like the silverware location. You have to pull out the bottom tray to put any silverware in. Would have preferred it be on the door or across front of bottom tray. Not a deal killer though.

This replaced an older 2 drawer fisher paykal dishwasher. It holds a lot of dishes as well as tons of silverware. I use the recommended cascade packs and the dishes come out sparkling clean! Also it runs so quiet that we don’t notice its on! Got with free installation which is a must when buying any major appliance. Highly recommend.

This dishwasher does a very good job of washing dishes, and amazingly, it is so quiet that you do not even hear it when it is running. We run it routinely on the Pro Wash and the Pro Dry cycles. The dishes and the silverware come out clean and dry. The only residual wetness at the end of a cycle is some drops of water on the plastic basket that holds the silverware.

And I have had a few. This dishwasher cleans everything. With my old dishwasher I practically had to wash the dishes before putting them into the dishwasher. With this dishwasher I put in all my dishes without washing them first to see how it did and it removed even caked on peanut butter from the spoons. Love, love, love this dishwasher. This is also so quiet even sitting next to it you can hardly hear it.
