I just press the ProSense cycle and start buttons then close the door. You can't hear it while it's running even when you're standing right beside it. The dishes come out clean and dry. The only downside and the reason for 4-stars is the cycle runtime. It's not specific to this dishwasher. I knew the cycles would be long and I can live with it. You just have to be prepared for it. It's worth the wait to have the end result.
