Customers admire the 24" Front Control Built-In Dishwasher's quiet operation and exceptional cleaning performance, especially on tough settings. Many appreciate the added capacity from the third rack and the ease of use. While some installation challenges and longer cycle times were noted, the positive feedback on cleaning, quietness, and design outweighs these concerns.

I got this for my parents as I have a similar model (the one with the handle on it). This one doesn’t have a handle and the controls are on the front, with the pull-handle being recessed into the door instead of an exterior pull-handle.
This recessed version feels more sturdier than the one with the actual handle.
Anyways, I highly recommend this because it’s so easy to use. The Prowash function senses how much load you have and washes accordingly. If I only have a few dishes, it’ll be done within 30 minutes. If I have tons of dishes with heavy soiling, it’ll automatically sense it and thoroughly take the time to clean that too (can take a few hours for a heavy load).
It’s so easy with zero guesswork. I love the removable utensils tray, and also the third shelf. The 2nd shelf is very easy to adjust its height.
The filter is ridiculously easy to access for me to remove and clear out.
I love everything about this dishwasher. It’s simple to use, highly effective, and ridiculously quiet.

My new KitchenAid dishwasher looks, feels and works great. The simple design looks classy, it is shiny inside and out, and when I open the door and slide the racks, it feels well made. So far, I’ve only run it twice but already can say this: it is easy to load / unload, runs very quietly, and washes everything clean. It’s my second KitchenAid dishwasher, and I am happy with it.

I've had this dishwasher for a few weeks now and I am loving it. The 3rd drawer is spacious and tall enough to put spatulas in it without giving up room for stemware. This machine is so quiet, I was like "is that all the noise you make?". There is a rather large additional removable flatware basket in case you are brimming over with it. Don't hesitate on this one!

Very quiet compared to the Fridgedaire I had, a truly <40dB dishwasher as I cannot hear it from afar, I have to go sit next to it to hear, and thats a stretch, in contrast, with the Fridgedaire, even with the TV on I can still hear it. Dishes are clean, no soap spilled, easy to use. Overall, Im very happy with the purchase

I love my new KitchenAid dishwasher is amazing! It is quiet, cleans great, dries nicely. My dishes actually shine again.
There is so much room! The top tray is an added bonus.
I would recommend this to a friend

Been using the dishwasher for 3 weeks with no problems. Installation was simple with easy instructions to follow. Dishes come out clean and spotless. The dishwasher is very quiet. My wife is very happy with the purchase. The only thing we didn’t like was the utensil storage in the bottom tray. Found it difficult to easily place utensils in it. We decided to use the one from the dishwasher we replaced.

We replaced our 20 year old dishwasher with this so we are a bit biased in rating. First off, it is VERY quiet in all cycles and our house is quiet. Second, the third racks carries lots of utensils and CHOPSTICKS (we usually put 10 pairs per wash). We cook daily and each wash the machine can clean all pots, dishes, bowls and utensils from 5 people. Now, it takes minimum 2 hours per wash so we wash during tv time and open the door once done, and everything dry in the morning. We found this method working well even without heat drying. Overall we love this machine from the experience of one month of using.

We bought this on line based on the fact we had a similar dishwasher in our previous home. We liked that one very much. So far, this model had NOT been disappointing. It is extremely quiet, and leaves the dishes shining. I don't use the heat dry and the dishes still come out spotless. It is easy to use and the fold down tines in the basket make for easy loading of odd shaped bowls. We wanted a dishwasher that would rinse and hold dishes as there are only two in household. It has several wash options and all have produces excellent results. Kitchenaid has made a reasonably priced, Extremely Quiet, excellent product with this dishwasher.

This is a well-designed dishwasher that seems to do a great job at its intended task - cleaning the dishes. I really appreciate the large silverware basket, which has different-sized slots to accommodate a variety of tableware.
It is deservedly rated at 39db, with very little sound making its way through the ample insulation. Very easy to carry on a quiet conversation right next to it while it is operating.
The bottom-line job of any dishwasher is to clean the dishes, and this unit has done that very well so far. I haven’t put any pots or pans with baked on gook in there yet, but I have tested it with plates that have sat for a day with spaghetti sauce and gravy remains very well dried on. Everything has come out as clean as can be.
Reliability can only be judged over time, but I believe the KitchenAid brand has already earned a reputation for that. I would definitely recommend this unit.

So far so good. It runs quietly and dishes have come out clean and mostly dry. Plastic items are still wet, but that seems to be a problem with most dishwashers. I have some concerns about the digital buttons - they are a bit persnickety and seem to require precision when pressing them. The layout is OK, but could be better. Wider mouth cups are hard to fit in place and end up taking up more room than I would prefer. I could fit more in my inexpensive GE dishwasher.

Great dishwasher at a great price, with all the important features we needed. (Also, it was actually *available* and we were able to pick it up curbside, which is amazing considering the current supply issues with major appliances.) Best Buy was great to deal with throughout this purchase.
This dishwasher is AMAZINGLY quiet - it's often impossible to tell whether it's running until you are standing right next to it. It does a great job on heavily-soiled dishes. Love the third rack (never realized how much top-rack space I was spending on all those long and awkward utensils). We appreciate that the control panel is on the FRONT (our old Maytag dishwasher had the controls on the top, and not only could you not interact with the dishwasher (or even see the lights) unless you opened the door, but the controls eventually got destroyed by water, which is why we had to get a new dishwasher). Despite having front controls, the dishwasher still looks sleek and elegant.
We have just two minor complaints: (1) weirdly, the top rack of this (not cheap) dishwasher did not include any of those little curved plastic clips for securing jar lids and other smaller items. (2) The large silverware basket completely fills the only 4"-wide space on the bottom rack, which is the only place our biggish serving dishes will fit. We solved both (1) and (2) by stripping the corresponding parts from our old dishwasher (the plastic clips for the top rack, plus a much smaller silverware basket that fits easily in the front of our new dishwasher's bottom rack. (If we hadn't been able to reuse the parts from our old dishwasher, we would have purchased a smaller "universal" silverware basket online -- they aren't too expensive or hard to find.)

This purchase was based solely on the need for a quite dishwasher and the 39 dBA was the feature that sealed the deal. Installation was easy and the amount of insulation was impressive. It is QUIET! I have been standing next to it and not aware it is running. Very happy with the cleaning performance and tray spacing.

I don't need a dishwasher that irons my newspaper and does my taxes; I need a dishwasher that washes and dries my dishes. This KitchenAid appears to do that quite well, though I have had it only about 1 month. The silverware basket on the bottom rack was loose when it arrived--inexplicably, it wasn't attached to anything. I secured it in place with a zip tie so it would not move around during the cycle. Others have complained that the door opening mechanism is stiff, and I agree. The racks feel lighter-weight and flimsier than my parents' Bosch dishwasher's racks. BUT: it appears to clean my dishes quite well, and dry them adequately also. And at the end of the day, that is what matters to me most.

I love my new dishwasher. I have been using for about a month and love it, especially all the extra room (height) for the top shelf. Ver quiet compared to my last one. Using Prowah with heat dry cleans everything really well and doesn't melt or bend top shelf plastic. Delivery and installation was arranged by Best Buy (a holiday special low price) with a 4 hr window. They did not arrive until 20 minutes after the time slot (we waited at home 4 hours!). The finally called when i contacted the Geek Squad at the end of the 4 hours. Once they arrived they were great and the instal was perfect. They even helped my husband roll the old one out to the curb, which made up for the delay. My daughter needs appliances and I recommended Best Buy and Kitchen Aid to her.

We haven't had our dishwasher very long but so far, it is great....so quiet we don't even know it is running and the dishes come out clean. Love the 3rd rack!

It's a very nice dishwasher. Very quiet, cleans well. Very easy and simple to use. I took away 1 star only because it did not have all the features of my previous dishwasher like fold down tines and more than 1 adjustment for lowering the middle rack. Also, utensils don't dry well, but overall the dishwasher works great.

THIS IS A GREAT DISHWASHER. QUITE AND EFFICIENT. DISHES COME OUT CLEAN AND DRY. WE HAD TO RETURN OUR LG AS IT WAS TERRIBLE AND EXCHANGED IT FOR THE KITCHEN AID SO HAPPY WE DID. THE THIRD, TOP RACK IS AN ADDED PLUS AND THE MACHINE IS STURDY AND HOLDS UP TO HEAVY PLATES.

I’m really happy with this dishwasher. Before this one, I went through two other brands that just didn’t last. Back in my old house, I had a KitchenAid and never had a single problem with it. That’s why I came back to KitchenAid again. Yes, it costs more, but honestly, it’s worth it.
One thing I really like is that it doesn’t open the door at the end of the cycle. With my previous machine, that drove me crazy because my dog would run over and start licking the glasses the moment the door opened.
The quality is just outstanding. Everything feels solid, it runs quietly, and I don’t have any complaints at all. KitchenAid really is a brand that stands for reliability and durability.
