So very quiet. I'm glad they added beeps to it to tell you when it is done. Otherwise I wouldn't notice.

Nice and quiet dishwasher with all the features I need like express wash

It is very roomy, very quiet and you don't realize it is "working" due to the lack of "noise"

Pros 1. Great service install. Tech was knowledgeable and personable 2. Quiet motor operation 3. Intuitive controls Cons 1. Water dispensing within the unit is actually louder than operation of the dishwasher 2. Build quality on this unit is a bit lighter than its predecessors 10 yrs ago. Upper end models in the $1600 range could be better

I guess 800.00 dollars is a mid priced or cheap dishwasher now. Had a mid price LG that lasted 3 months over warranty (1-2 years) and decided on this kitchen aide because the door (where all the electronics are) seemed more substantial than most. I installed it myself and was amazed at how the industry has cheapened the product in just 2 years. Kitchen aid installed working well let you know in 2 years. All in all should have spent a little more and hopped for better quality. Best buys price was equal to or better than most other stores.

So far, so good. We have only had it a couple weeks, but i see no reason for any concern

2 observations: 1. It's noisier than the 39 db rating indicates. I'd say it's more like 46 db. I had a Bosch 800 before this that was 42 db and this is way noiser than the Bosch. You can hear every cycle of water spinning around inside. I held up an iPhone Decibel meter app and it rated 50 db. Might not be totally accurate, just saying. 2. The "Express" wash isn't all that Express. It runs for an hour solid. In my old Bosch the Express ran for a little over half an hour, with some extra time for drying. I tend to use Express as my main wash function, so bit of a bummer for me. To be fair, I'm senstive to these 2 items - other people may not be. Also there was some sort of white foam insulation hanging out of the bottom of the door - I tried to shove it back inside.

Horrible experience with this dishwasher. It was installed and ever since then, it’s been working intermittently. When I called for service from Whirlpool they sent a company out (two times) and the first time they said nothing was wrong with the dishwasher. The second time they replaced the control board and then said we had a bad plug. Had an electrician come out to check the plug and it’s fine. Now Whirlpool wants to send another vendor out instead of just replacing the unit which has proven to be unreliable.

So pleased with this dishwasher. The dishes come out squeaky clean
