    Really like this dishwasher!

Just bought this KitchenAid Model after having a KitchenAid Dishwasher for over 10 years! This model is even quieter than the one we had. My older Model, called the Whisper Quiet Plus seemed to have dried more evenly and quicker. Even on the Extended Dry for this model, the entire stainless steel tub is very wet. Not sure if I am doing something wrong, I think I have to call customer service. The dishes are spotless! No funny odors and did I say this model is quiet? I have to put my ear to the door to hear if it is running!

    Awesome Dishwasher

I love this dishwasher. It is so quiet you can barely hear it running. The space inside for different size pots and pans give this a plus! Everything comes out clean and sparkling. The third level rack is so handy for utensils and silverware makes for an easy retrieval and into the silverware drawer. The control panel is hidden on the top of the door and is nice because little hands can’t see it and it’s so easy to program and start. My only complaint would be with baby plastic kiddy cups. They don’t dry.

    Great dishwasher, great buying experience

Great dishwasher at a great price, with all the important features we needed. (Also, it was actually *available* and we were able to pick it up curbside, which is amazing considering the current supply issues with major appliances.) Best Buy was great to deal with throughout this purchase. This dishwasher is AMAZINGLY quiet - it's often impossible to tell whether it's running until you are standing right next to it. It does a great job on heavily-soiled dishes. Love the third rack (never realized how much top-rack space I was spending on all those long and awkward utensils). We appreciate that the control panel is on the FRONT (our old Maytag dishwasher had the controls on the top, and not only could you not interact with the dishwasher (or even see the lights) unless you opened the door, but the controls eventually got destroyed by water, which is why we had to get a new dishwasher). Despite having front controls, the dishwasher still looks sleek and elegant. We have just two minor complaints: (1) weirdly, the top rack of this (not cheap) dishwasher did not include any of those little curved plastic clips for securing jar lids and other smaller items. (2) The large silverware basket completely fills the only 4"-wide space on the bottom rack, which is the only place our biggish serving dishes will fit. We solved both (1) and (2) by stripping the corresponding parts from our old dishwasher (the plastic clips for the top rack, plus a much smaller silverware basket that fits easily in the front of our new dishwasher's bottom rack. (If we hadn't been able to reuse the parts from our old dishwasher, we would have purchased a smaller "universal" silverware basket online -- they aren't too expensive or hard to find.)

Very quiet compared to the Fridgedaire I had, a truly <40dB dishwasher as I cannot hear it from afar, I have to go sit next to it to hear, and thats a stretch, in contrast, with the Fridgedaire, even with the TV on I can still hear it. Dishes are clean, no soap spilled, easy to use. Overall, Im very happy with the purchase

Great Dishwasher - One Small Issue

This has been a perfect dishwasher so far - very quiet - almost to the point that I wasn't sure it was running. The plates and glasses come out quite clean. I'm docking one star because the dishwasher has one issue and I almost contacted warranty support for help until I found an answer in an online forum. Note carefully: if you open the door before the entire cycle is done, after the cycle completes, you will not be able to click the "normal wash" button. I could only get the normal wash button to work by turning off the circuit switch that controls the dishwasher (i.e., effectively restarting it by unplugging it). I didn't think doing so was a long-term solution (since I mainly use the normal wash option). By chance, I found in an online forum that you have to let the dishwasher finish the cycle before opening the door. After following this suggestion, the issue is no longer present (i.e., I can click the normal wash option without having to restart the dishwasher).

Once we got this installed and tried it out, we had to get really close to hear it running. This is by far the quietest dishwasher I've ever had. On top of that, it's so roomy, I can fit all of the dishes from dinner and have nothing left in the sink. Most importantly, IT CLEANS ALL THE DISHES THE FIRST TIME. I no longer have to scrub my dishes clean BEFORE I put them in the dishwasher, I can just rinse and the dishwasher does what it was meant to do, clean the dishes. I would definitely recommend this dishwasher. It doesn't hurt that it also looks fabulous, with the controls on the top, the stainless steel tub on the inside. I love it!

Been using the dishwasher for 3 weeks with no problems. Installation was simple with easy instructions to follow. Dishes come out clean and spotless. The dishwasher is very quiet. My wife is very happy with the purchase. The only thing we didn’t like was the utensil storage in the bottom tray. Found it difficult to easily place utensils in it. We decided to use the one from the dishwasher we replaced.

This is a well-designed dishwasher that seems to do a great job at its intended task - cleaning the dishes. I really appreciate the large silverware basket, which has different-sized slots to accommodate a variety of tableware. It is deservedly rated at 39db, with very little sound making its way through the ample insulation. Very easy to carry on a quiet conversation right next to it while it is operating. The bottom-line job of any dishwasher is to clean the dishes, and this unit has done that very well so far. I haven’t put any pots or pans with baked on gook in there yet, but I have tested it with plates that have sat for a day with spaghetti sauce and gravy remains very well dried on. Everything has come out as clean as can be. Reliability can only be judged over time, but I believe the KitchenAid brand has already earned a reputation for that. I would definitely recommend this unit.

Only had a few weeks but love the dishwasher. I use the third rack all the time. I use the express wash most of the time and all dishes are clean. Dries well. Easy to operate and understand. It is made well and worth the money.

I’ve only had the KitchenAid dishwasher 1 week now, and I’ve run it twice. It is so quiet, it gets the dishes so much drier than my previous dishwasher did, and it’s easy to load. After only one week of use, I am incredibly happy with it. Hope it continues to work this well for many years to come. Thank you Best Buy!

Got this cheap as an open box from the outlet store. It was missing a part (the bottom front cover) and the insulation blanket. But I used the old insulation blanket from my dead GE Profile unit that was constantly being serviced. This KitchenAid unit is really quiet and just feels better built. I hope it doesn’t need all the service call that the GE one did. It cleans and dries well, and I love the 3rd top rack. I just wish the racks had more adjustability to fit odd size dishes, bowls etc. but the more expensive units have those

It's a very nice dishwasher. Very quiet, cleans well. Very easy and simple to use. I took away 1 star only because it did not have all the features of my previous dishwasher like fold down tines and more than 1 adjustment for lowering the middle rack. Also, utensils don't dry well, but overall the dishwasher works great.

I wanted a Bosch, but they weren't available so I got this Kitchenaid and I've been satisfied. It cleans better than my old Frigadiere and it dries exceptionally well. it's super quiet, as in I wouldn't know it was on except for the tiny red light. The only thing I hate is the touch buttons on the top of the door; every time I open or close it, I inadvertently touch a button and it beeps and complains. I wish it was actual push buttons instead of touch so that you could touch the top of the door without it trying to do something

I LOVE this dishwasher. I've had it for the past month and it cleans really well, it is as quiet as they say, it is much sturdier (being a stainless steel interior), the third rack for cutlery is wonderful. I never imagined that would have proven to be such a great feature! There's lots of room for pots and pans. I am very happy with this purchase. Even happier that I got it on sale!

This is a great dishwasher. My last dishwasher was a Kenmore and was over 16 years old. It was still kicking, but things were starting to go, and it was extremely loud. I was hesitant to buy a new one since it had lasted so long. I chose this model over the next with the full 3rd rack. I was worried I would miss the features like wine glass holders and adjustable parts of the racks. I do not, and am glad I didn’t spend the extra money in those features. This dishwasher cleans AND dries extremely well. It even gets old stains off my stainless steel pots. The only time things are wet is if they have a slight indent in the top, so if I angle everything to allow the water to drain off, everything comes out completely dry. I put all of my silverware, as well as larger utensils in the top rack. I pulled out the very large, non-adjustable utensil caddy (the only flaw) and use a very small utensil bin that I kept from my old dishwasher for utensils like spatulas and very small items that don’t fit well in the third rack. This also gives me more room on the bottom. The dishwasher is very quiet compared to what I had. You hear a bit of splashing and some motor noises, but they are not loud enough to disrupt conversation or interfere with audio from TVs or other devices. As sad as it sounds, I am actually excited to fill it up and turn it on!
