Quiet Quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Kitchenaid dishwasher is not the easiest to install. The instructions provided were lacking in a couple of areas. Once installed, we are very pleased with the performance. It is exceptionally quiet during all cycles. One thing that is outstanding is how clear glassware & crystal comes out. We are very pleased.

KitchenAid Dishwasher
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The KitchenAid dishwasher is so quiet that I can hardly tell it is running, and washes and dries the dishes so well. It even dries the plastic containers! I really like the 3rd rack where I can place plastic lids and kitchen utensils.

Large bowls fit in the second rack, charger plates fit in first rack and cookie sheets or prep utensils fit well in third rack. Quality & Quiet
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We love our dishwasher! The dishes are sparkling clean (even with our hard water) and the available cycles are fantastic especially for tough stains and a full load. This machine is extra quiet too.

Great dishwasher.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this dishwasher about 2 weeks ago. So far, I am very pleased with the performance. My dishes come out very clean. Some of the plastic dishes still have a little water that needs to be wiped off but I would rather do that than use the extra heat cycle. I read several reviews where people complained about the noise level, wasn't as quiet as they expected. Compared to my old dishwasher, this machine is super quiet. I do hear the water entering and draining and occasionally hear a swoosh sound as the dishwasher is washing, but only if I am standing right by the machine. Meets all my expectations from a KitchenAid dishwasher. I did purchase the Best Buy extended warranty for the 5 year period.

Good dishwasher
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've had this for a couple of months now; happy with its performance, ease of use, quiet as advertised, looks good. For the price we paid, I would've liked some of the enhanced features that are in the next model up (shown in the owner's manual, but "on selected models"). Counting on it lasting a long time.

Leaking on the Left Side Mediocre at Best
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Leaking within weeks of being purchased. Contacted Best Buy and Whirlpool customer care they sent out a technician who couldn't replicate the problem to address it. So I spent another hour on hold with Whirlpool right after he left with no resolve. Aside from the leaking it doesn't dry well. I would pay more attention to reviews warning of drying issues. On the plus side, it is quiet. This would probably be a different review if they would address issues and not leave the consumer stuck with a brand new faulty dishwasher.

Posted .We apologize for the concerns you are experiencing with your Dishwasher. Please review the following troubleshooting steps:
Please review the link for some troubleshooting tips for this concern.
Is the water supply connected correctly?
Check all the connection points. Be sure the rubber washer is properly seated in the fitting for any connection point. Slide the 3/4" (19 mm) fitting of the 90° elbow up to the valve and hand-tighten it to avoid cross-threading. Hand-tighten until the coupling is tight. Using pliers, check the tightness of the coupling. Sealing the rubber gasket may require an additional 1/4 to 1/2 turn. Make sure to route the fill hose out to the rear left side of the unit. https://youtu.be/FP0981p6Fl8
Is the Drain Line installed correctly?
Verify that the drain hose has been properly connected. https://youtu.be/D7yzKH0GOwc
Are there suds coming out of the dishwasher?
If your KitchenAid dishwasher is overwhelmed with suds, bubbles, or soap foam, prompt action is crucial. Start by halting the dishwasher cycle immediately. This can be done by pressing the 'Cancel' button or opening the door, which will stop the operation. Assess the dishwasher for visible suds and focus on effective drainage to prevent further complications.
Stop the dishwasher immediately.
Cancel the wash cycle. Clean up any overflow. Do not let water sit and seep into cabinets or floorboards. Use a wet mop to clean up any overflow.
Remove dishes from the dishwasher.
Add ¼ c of vegetable or other cooking oil to the bottom of the dishwasher.
Run a Quick Cycle with no detergent or dishes. The added oil will suppress the suds and help flush the soap through the dishwasher.
If suds are still present, repeat the above steps.
https://youtu.be/yL_3IevWR-8
Is water leaking from the vent?
Water vapor is released through the vent in the door. Sometimes the vapor will condensate, and a water spot will be seen on the floor after the door has been fully opened/extended.
Did someone put dish soap in your dishwasher?
Dishwashing detergent does not create suds, but dish soap does. If suds, bubbles, or soap foam are present when you open your dishwasher, turn off the dishwasher and allow suds to dissipate. Using the wrong type or too much detergent can cause over-sudsing. The suds may push water out of the dishwasher, causing leaking or poor wash performance. Use only detergent specifically designed for automatic dishwashers. https://youtu.be/yL_3IevWR-8
tps://youtu.be/yL_3IevWR-8
Were the dishes pre-washed or soaked before being loaded?
Residual soap from soaking or spraying dishes with dish soap or other pre-wash dish cleaners can cause excess suds in the dishwasher. Many new spray-on “power” dish soaps are highly concentrated, and their residue on the dishes can cause excessive suds in a dishwasher.
Pre-washing the dishes before adding them to the dishwasher is not necessary; just scrape off leftover food, bones, toothpicks, and other hard items from the dishes. Dishwashers are designed so that pre-washing dishes is unnecessary. Avoiding pre-washing or spray-on dish soap will save you water, energy, and time.
Does the dishwasher need to be cleaned?
Dishwashers should be cleaned approximately every 30 days for optimal performance. Using affresh® Dishwasher Cleaner every month will help keep your dishwasher from filming and spotting and keep the interior clean and free of odors.
Are there items between the door seal and the dishwasher tub?
Check that no items, such as silverware, are stuck between the dishwasher door seal and the dishwasher tub. If they are, the door will not shut or seal properly.
Check both racks for items that may be stuck and protruding. Remove any item that is protruding outside the rack.
Check for large food particles around the door seal. Large items could cause the door not to shut or seal properly.
Is the dishwasher level?
Make sure the dishwasher is level. It must be supported by the leveling legs/wheels, which must be flat on the floor. The dishwasher must also be square in the cabinet. The door will not seal properly if the tub opening is not square. This is the responsibility of the customer or installer.
NOTE: Some models will have four leveling legs.
Does the Door Seal need to be replaced?
Inspect the door seal for cracks, tears, and ensure it is properly placed.
For the Dishwasher not dryer:
Is Rinse Aid being used?
Using a rinse aid will optimize your drying and wash performance. This dishwasher is specifically designed to be used with rinse aid for improved drying performance and controlling the buildup of hard water deposits. Rinse aid greatly improves drying by allowing water to drain from the dishes after the final rinse. Rinse aid also keeps water from forming droplets that can dry as spots or streaks.
The dispenser holds 5 oz (150 mL) of rinse aid, which will, under most conditions, last 1 to 3 months. Check the indicator while the dishwasher door is fully open (level). If the rinse aid is empty, the indicator will appear clear. The color of the dispenser will depend on the color of the rinse aid you are using.
NOTE: Plastic and items with nonstick surfaces can be difficult to dry because their porous surfaces may collect water droplets. Towel drying may be necessary. https://youtu.be/LPm_ZtsGvoE
Does the Rinse Aid need to be adjusted?
The factory setting will give good results for most water conditions. Try a higher setting if you have hard water or notice rings or spots. Turn the arrow adjuster inside the dispenser by either using your fingers or inserting a flat-blade screwdriver into the center of the arrow and turning.
Higher numbers dispense more rinse aid. You should change this setting only a little at a time and then run a few cycles before changing it again, because just enough rinse aid is more effective than too much.

Was Door Open Dry selected?
Some models feature a Natural Dry technology that automatically opens the door at the end of the cycle to vent out moisture and humid air, accelerating the drying process. The "Door Open Dry" option opens the door a few inches after the washing phase is complete, improving drying performance by allowing hot air to escape and fresh air to circulate inside the dishwasher.
Press the "Door Open Dry" button on the console to enable the option, and the LED will illuminate. This option can be used with all cycles.
Were the dishes loaded correctly?
Loading items in a manner that water does not pool during the wash cycle will help with drying these items. Place glasses in the upper rack between the wire tines, not over the top of the tines; these tines can create water spots. Use the tines to angle all flat or concave surfaces as much as possible to allow water to drain off the item. Rinse Aid may help reduce puddles by allowing water to sheet off the items at shallower angles.
NOTE: Due to their complex shapes, plastic items are especially difficult to load to promote drying. Also, plastic does not conduct heat like glass or ceramics. If available, load your plastic cups, bowls, and mugs in the third-level rack for the best dry performance. Don’t put plastic items on the lower rack. Plastic items are less likely to deform when loaded in the top rack.
https://youtu.be/lhEu_19sc1I
Is the water temperature set correctly?
This dishwasher has a water heating feature, but it requires a connection to a hot water supply line. The hot water supply line should supply a minimum of 120°F (49°C) water to the dishwasher for best wash and dry performance. https://youtu.be/26V_Wy7SdfI
Was a heated or dry cycle used?
Ensure a heated dry cycle and/or option is selected. Check your User's Manual for cycle details and information.
Most dishwashers will have the following dry options: air dry (no indicator light displayed or specific option), Heat or Pro Dry option for smaller loads, or Extended Dry option for large loads. The default option will be the Heat or Pro Dry option, which should provide good results. If the Heat or Pro Dry option did not dry the load as you desired, select the Extended Dry option. Using this option will extend the dry time by 15 minutes and is likely to lead to even better drying performance.
Some dishwashers have an "Open Dry" function that enables the door to automatically open after the cycle to vent out moisture/Humid Air and accelerate drying.
Is the heating element working properly?
To test the heating element, run a cycle using the Sanitize option selected. If the Sanitize LED is on steady (not blinking), there is no problem with the dishwasher's heating element. If the Sanitize cycle has completed, the dishwasher has reached its max temperature, therefore the heating element (which performs the drying function) is working properly. Today's dishwashers are more energy-efficient, and the key to optimal drying performance is proper loading and Rinse Aid.
If the Sanitize LED is blinking (not on steady), there may be a problem with the dishwasher's heating element, and service will need to be scheduled.
Don't have the Sanitize option?
To test the heating element, run a "1-hour" wash cycle and ensure the "Heat Dry" option is selected. With the "Heat Dry" option selected, the total cycle time should take about 1.5 hours. Once the cycle has finished, check to see if the dishes are warm. If the dishes are not warm, there may be a problem with the dishwasher's heating element, and service will need to be scheduled. Today's dishwashers are more energy-efficient, and the key to optimal drying performance is proper loading and the use of Rinse Aid.

Great dishwasher!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wonderful dishwasher! There is plenty of space for a variety of dishes, pans and cutlery. The third rack comes in very handy for large serving pieces. Everything comes out sparkling clean. Wine glasses tend to to tip a little, I am still working on the perfect placement of them. Extremely quiet!!

So quiet
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We finally replaced our 14 year old Jenn Air dishwasher that functioned, but whose internal rack and rollers were falling apart. It was also noisy as heck when running - to be point people had to raise their voices to be heard during conversations in the kitchen. We picked this KitchenAid appliance because it had the quietest db rating that we could find. The difference between this new unit and the old one is night and day. This thing is so quiet, we need to listen carefully to even tell whether its running or not! It also cleans and dries much quicker and more efficiently. Totally satisfied!

Good, but could be better
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far so good. It runs quietly and dishes have come out clean and mostly dry. Plastic items are still wet, but that seems to be a problem with most dishwashers. I have some concerns about the digital buttons - they are a bit persnickety and seem to require precision when pressing them. The layout is OK, but could be better. Wider mouth cups are hard to fit in place and end up taking up more room than I would prefer. I could fit more in my inexpensive GE dishwasher.

Extremely quiet reasonable price EXCELLENT result
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this on line based on the fact we had a similar dishwasher in our previous home. We liked that one very much. So far, this model had NOT been disappointing. It is extremely quiet, and leaves the dishes shining. I don't use the heat dry and the dishes still come out spotless. It is easy to use and the fold down tines in the basket make for easy loading of odd shaped bowls. We wanted a dishwasher that would rinse and hold dishes as there are only two in household. It has several wash options and all have produces excellent results. Kitchenaid has made a reasonably priced, Extremely Quiet, excellent product with this dishwasher.

Super Quiet, get it! love all the new features
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this is amazing! starting to begrudgingly having to replace older appliances. we bought this one because of the noise level rating, even though the handle doesn't match our other appliances. My husband hates dishwasher noise and we are not disappointed. when i first ran it i had to put my ear right up to it to make sure it was running!! super super quiet, only noise i hear is the water draiing for a few seconds. i love the 2nd rack that moves up and down, i can now fit large items that didn't fit well in my older diswasher, the third rack is amazing, i found putting all my knives, bread, butter and steak knives is the best spot for them, they clean so well and don't get those little brown dots on them that i have to clean after. i love that i have that third rack for utensils, small lids, spoon holder etc, this is an amazing dishwasher sturdy, quiet and works great. the only thing i could complain about is that it doesn't show how long the cycle has to run, and that the door is a bit heavy and comes down really low to the floor but very minor issues for a quiet effective dishwasher. i've been using Molly's Suds pods and they seem to be working better than my other natural pods. I use the tough setting all the time, i always have because my stuff can sit for a few days before i need to run it, although i don't put dishes in with tons of food on them, this cycle seems to work best for me. If you want a quiet dishwasher this is it! also the 2nd and third racks get cleaned really well as they have their own sprayer thing attached. oh and this one doesn't show prints at all! i love that because i hate stainless appliances for this reason. i barely notice and drips or marks it's stayed very clean and perfect looking!
