Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is a mixed review. 3+'s and 3-'s.....Without a doubt the dishwasher is very quiet, it washes well and it dries well. BUT with a big family or if you cook a bunch you will need a second dishwasher because it takes between 2 & 3 hours to wash. Try the tray configuration before you buy it because our bowls don't fit well in the wash trays and a 14 inch lid really does not fit well anywhere. Finally the utensil wash tray has two size openings and the smaller ones are useless for anything but for the handles of of metal measuring spoons. We actually pulled the tray and put in the one from our previous dishwasher. We paid the extra $ for the 3rd row and I cannot say we would do it again. In fact, we wouldn't purchase this unit again.

The first was excellent, that’s why I got a second when I moved. The first thing I noticed was the quality of how it was built when I open and close the door. Solidly built, a great product. It’s quiet and does an excellent job washing dishes.

Only thing I can say is bad about this is the bottom rack doesn’t have the hight my last one had even with it adjusted at the highest setting, cutting board and cookie sheets don’t fit standing up and the noise level is not 3.9 but 4.6.

The customer service is not good at all from Kitchen aid! They would not even help me at all! I wanted a replacement door, they said it was not available!

New Unit - Never Worked - Beeping & Flashing light

The installer could not get the constant beeping and flashing "clean" light to go away. I've tried unplugging the dishwasher for about 15 minutes to do the reboot. At first that appeared to work and the wash cycle started, unit is very quiet compared to my working 15 year-old whirlpool, however that please feeling quickly went sour when the beeping and flashing "clean" light started again. I've since unplugged the machine, and standing water is inside. I guess old and loud (my Quiet Whisper III) is better than the "new & improved" non-working new models of appliances. I could not recommend this model, as there is definitely an issue with QC at Kitchen Aid if a non-working unit shipped out to retailers.
