    Returned it for a Bosch

    We replaced a 10+year old Kitchen Aid (42 db that made no noise whatsoever - it was so quiet you had to touch the door and feel the vibration to know it was operating). This new "39 db" sounds like we're driving through a car wash. The whooshing, spinning, and sounds of water slamming against the door can even be heard outside of the kitchen. So disappointed. Beware. Returned it for a Bosch.

    Detergent Door Stopped Opening After 6 Months

    Dishwasher Stopped Dispensing Detergent and Rinse Aid after 6 months. The detergent door stopped opening and rinse aid dispenser stopped working after only 6 months. To purchase an expensive dishwasher, for it to stop operating correctly after only 6 months is very frustrating. I’ll never purchase another Kitchen Aid appliance again.

    Kitchenaid not draining

    Bought the kdfm404kbs and paid good money for it because i always thought Kitchenaid was a good product. Wont drain and just beeps. Spent almost $500 in repairs and still not draining. I will mever buy another Kitchenaid product! Poor customer service! Had it for 2 yrs and sat in a box for 6 months.

    Kitchenaid is unreliable.

    I see how this works now. I bought a Kitchenaid KDTM354DSS4, 3.5 yrs ago, $800, and suffered 2 breakdowns. The rack wheels broke and the pump filter failed. Kitchenaid customer service job is to make anyone outside the 1yr warranty go away with no satisfaction. No wait, I have a $350 repair, and no dishwasher for 4 weeks!!

    I originally purchased this dishwasher as an open box item and after a week it quit working. Best buy was awesome about getting me a brand new replacement but once received, again it did not work. Return and received a 3rd brand new one just to have it installed and not work. I wanted to switch Kitchenaid models but best buy would not accommodate the price change so I had no choice but to switch brands after receiving 3 of the above Kitchenaid dishwashers,

    Numerous Leaking and Pump Issues

    We have had terrible problems with faulty pumps and leakage out the base of the dishwasher onto our hardwood floors. Really a nightmare. It's only 3 years old and we are junking it for a Bosch. Will never buy Kitchenaide products again.

    Broke down after 11 months, and did not honor warranty. 4 week delivery that only allows for an 11 month warranty. They don’t answer the phone, and miss appointments

    Can't handle wineglasses

    If you drink wine with glasses having a stem, DO NOT BOTHER. There is no way to safely place glasses with a stem in this machine.
