Buy a different dishwasher

Purchased this dishwasher July 2020, unit worked fine for the first 4 months, then started having issues with dishes not getting clean. Spent the next couple of months playing with different settings and detergents, nothing worked. Finally called service, they came out and decided the wash pump and drain pump needed to be replaced. Waited 2 months for the parts to arrive and get installed. Dishwasher still did not work properly. Called service again. They now have a new main control board on order with no idea when it will be in (3 weeks so far and counting).

Quiet, but doesn't clean

I end up rinsing everything off the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. Sometimes we don't rinse everything off and the dishes come out with gunk all over them. We can't find a detergent that works either. With the pods, the powder part of the pod remains in the dispenser while there is a film left on dishes and on the base of the dishwasher. With the liquid detergent, there is a film showing the path of the detergent and at the base of the dishwasher, too. Yes it's quiet, but I'd rather have a loud dishwasher than one that doesn't do its job and we have to rerun it or rewash the dishes by hand.

Delivery man great but............

After hand washing all the dirty dishes it came on again but then never started. Kitchen Aide sent repair man about a week later. The dishwasher was NOT plugged in all the way. We do like the Best Buy delivery guy. Just our bad luck for which we paid the price.

Looking at the connections under the sink the installer did not connect the dishwasher to the air gap that was there. Now I need to get some missing hoses and put it in after paying for the install kit and labor to install. Not happy about that. Maybe that is why the dishwasher does not clean as well as the old Kitchen aid dishwasher.
