    I bought this 2 yrs and 3wks ago. Motor burned out $289.00 repair. Just outside the 24 month warranty ☹️. What a piece of crap! My last one was 10 yrs old. Sure don’t make things the way they used to. Would not purchase again, also, Kitchenaid has poor customer service on a good day.

    So it's a bit hard to fully rate as I've had a leak already. Not good, but unit seems to run fairly quiet.

    worked great for the first year then stop running... ofcourse so now we are having to find someone who can figure out what is wrong with it. The first appliance man can not figure it out! We are trying to get someone else to come look at it! I would not recommend this.

    Motor and Pump broke twice in just over a year

    Less than a year in, the motor and pump broke. It was covered by the warranty and serviced by Flamingo here in GA. Just over the year mark, the motor and pump broke again. Given we didn't up the warranty, that was an additional $400 out of pocket.

    Good product except for drying

    I like the racks while are adjustable and also the silverware baskets. I don’t like the amount of wet items even after I use the longest drying cycle

    This dishwasher does not dry the dishes all the way at all and always has water spots left throughout the dishwasher, no water standing in the bottom. I should never have to open the door in order to dry the inside out and dishes after washing but i do. Being that i bought it during the holidays i would call for service never could get through. Ill try now that they are over Very, Very Disappointed)

      DofBirth, sorry to hear of your frustration, Please be sure you are using Rinse Aid in your Dishwasher, without it, all modern dishwashers will leave a lot of water. Also be sure to not open the door until the clean light indicates the cycle has completed. If you open the door too soon, the dry cycle will stop and can not be restarted.     Purchased this as an open box item and all that was listed as being wrong with dishwasher was the missing paperwork to it. I drove two hours to go pick up and bring home, when got home and ready to install, noticed that there was no electrical cord to plug into outlet. Who sells an item without the electrical cord and fails to mention it. That is the most important thing to an appliance without cord its just a box. I am very disappointed and was to angry to load dishwasher back onto truck and drive another two hours. I am so very angry and disappointed with bestbuy. I paid over $500.00 dollars for a box.

    Why anyone would design the operating buttons under the handle is a mystery to me. My 20 yr old KitchenAid dishwasher was a dream come true. So much so that I knew I wanted the KA again & in white only. I am elderly and I must lean over and then get a light to see the controls in order to use this machine . To spend over $1000 on an appliance and hate the product because it isn't user friendly is a shame. I can't even get anyone on the phone during this past few weeks (1 888 237-8289) only prompters to hear my complaints. You could come and get the machine as far as I am concerned.

    It broke within a few months. It took two months to get it fixed and within a month of getting it fixed it broke again.

    This unit replaced my prior 16-year-old Kitchen Aid dishwasher. I was concerned that only one model (this one) still had front controls, and now that it's installed, I think top controls would be fine, too, although I still prefer the front controls. I was very happy with my prior unit, which never needed any repairs, and I am even happier with his unit. Mindbogglingly quiet, washes better, seems to be better organized internally. The lower rack seems a bit lower than before, no doubt to allow for the taller bin and adjustable height so if you have back problems (I don't), be aware you will probably have to stoop a bit lower. Some reviewers worried about the side vent, but when installed I realized that was an unnecessary worry since the vent isn't blocked with normal installation.

    We purchased this highly rated Kitchen Aid dishwasher as an open box item. We hired a reputable plumber on whom we have relied for many years install it. It gushed water out the back, and our plumber confirmed that it was defective. Best Buy took the item back for a full refund, but the whole experience cost us in time, inconvenience, and money, since we could not recoup the cost of installing and then removing a defective unit. My advice to Best Buy: check your returned, open box items before reselling them; my advice to consumers: beware of open box items at Best Buy,

    Came defective. Waited a month for delivery but somehow the delivery was not successful. They had to take it back and now I have to wait for another one.

    The installation was very poorly executed. The installers didn’t replace the cover and wiring on my outdoor water cut-off before they left. They also left a loose part and I have no idea where it is supposed to go. There were no operating instructions left for me. Also the dishwasher won’t dry the dishes!

    I understand that these are trying times but to send a used item is still unacceptable. There are pieces of paper still inside the shredder... I can not answer any of the questions below since I can not use the machine. I am also writing this because I have nowhere to document or call to tell someone. It was delivered on 3/27/2020 and opened 3/28/202...it was ordered on 3/25/2020 not 2/21/2020.

    Best Dishwasher I've owned

    I purchased this dishwasher 3/27/19 and had it installed 4/2/19. Install was on time and done professionally. This is a great dishwasher. I use dishwasher pacs and drying agent. After the wash is complete the dishes, glasses and utensils are completely clean, spot free and dry. The interior of the dishwasher is also dry and spot free. When the cycle is complete, the dishes are very hot, so I've learned to wait a bit before emptying. It is extremely quiet when running. I've had it for 3 weeks and so far I think its the best dishwasher I've owned.

    soap dispenser already not working after 1 year of ownership, and out of warranty. the racks are at an angle that makes it hard to load, and causes items to fall over and not be cleaned properly. Our last GE worked for 10 years before we started having problems.

    Musty Smell

    The dishwasher has worked ok for the past 6 months. There’s now a horrible musty smell that won’t go away. I was going crazy trying to figure out where the smell was coming from. I haven’t had a response from Kitchenaide. Please help me!!!
