    Blown circulation pump and motor less than 2 years

    Quit working after 22 months. We are a retired couple who ran this dishwasher about 2-3 times per week following all cleaning and regular maintenance guidelines. On-line blogs indicate others had the same problem we had. Cost of circulation motor and pump is $299, $109 for service call plus time for installation. $580 for repairs to a dishwasher that was purchased for $899. Do your homework on these models and read the blogs by owners before you purchase one of these units.

    New Unit - Never Worked - Beeping & Flashing light

    I purchased the KDFE204KPS and it was installed yesterday. The installer could not get the constant beeping and flashing "clean" light to go away. I've tried unplugging the dishwasher for about 15 minutes to do the reboot. At first that appeared to work and the wash cycle started, unit is very quiet compared to my working 15 year-old whirlpool, however that please feeling quickly went sour when the beeping and flashing "clean" light started again. I've since unplugged the machine, and standing water is inside. I guess old and loud (my Quiet Whisper III) is better than the "new & improved" non-working new models of appliances. I could not recommend this model, as there is definitely an issue with QC at Kitchen Aid if a non-working unit shipped out to retailers.

    Horrible experience

    The whole experience was horrible. I bought a dishwasher. First one that was brought didn’t work . 2nd one that was brought was damaged. I gave up and cancelled order and bought one at Home Depot

    The middle basket is defective for loading. The lower rack is low capacity and cant handle large dishes with center basket raised.

    Unsure about the dishwasher itself. However best buys delivery service texted me saying one day, and then i get a call the day before saying the technician is on his way. During the follow up customer service call the CS person immediately denied my claim. I don't recommend best buys unreliable delivery service, therefore order from someone else

    Don’t buy KitchenAide or Whirlpool

    Horrible! Had for 6 months completely died. I’m on a 2nd month dealing with the Whirlpool. They absolutely don’t care, just keep quoting- Warranty and trying minor fixes. New part they are shipping will take 6 weeks, 2 more to schedule for installation and won’t guarantee it will work then. Washing by hand for 3-4 months. Imagine that.

    NIGHTMARE!!

    Worst experience ever!!! Purchased the dishwasher in November 2020 and didn't work. Kitchenaid sent out the repair man a few days later and said they needed to order the parts. I should have returned to Best Buy at that time but decided to keep it and even purchased the extended warranty. Well the parts take 2 months to come in and when it does the repair company tells me the parts are damaged and need to reorder. Now it going on 4 months and still no parts. I've always purchased Kitchenaid but think I will switch to Bosch since their service has been going downhill.

    I wanted to document my experience with Kitchen Aid and my brand new dishwasher. Service Job Number: SWPR133B1416-1 Model: KDTM404KPS Serial: FA4703089 Problem Description: Not Starting or Operating - Dishwasher Since then I experienced the following: - 7 No shows/no calls from Service Provider - Can't reach service provider - Provider finally replaced all electronics with no change - Seals are not installed back properly - 2 referrals to escalation team with a promise of a call within 3 days. - Never a call - After 5 weeks, I replaced the unit and was told - No refunds I feel that I gave Kitchen Aid every chance to fix the machine, but I lost all confidence in the product and their service. Entirely disappointed, Brett

    NEVER BUY APPLIANCES FROM BEST BUY!

    This dishwasher is terrible! and BESTBUY doesn't care at all about anything other than making a sale. This broke under 7 months of below average use. Bestbuy just took my money from many appliances and dumped me onto the manufacturer what a JOKE!
