Do not waste your money. We have had it for over three years and I have never been happy with it. There is no way to lock the door, so at random times, the door will pop open and stop the wash cycle. The machine doesn't drain all the way, so there is always an odor. I have to hand wash dishes after they have been "washed" almost every load. I have tried prewashing and it still leaves grime on the dishes. I have taken the machine apart and cleaned every hole and screen. I have used oxyclean additives in addition to the recommended soap.....still a residue on the glasses and dishes. I just isn't that good a dishwasher. It does look nice, though. I am very sad that I wasted our hard earned money on this purchase.

Bought this in 2016 - its lasted less than 5 years. Repair techician says motor died which is $550 to fix and its apparently backordered. This seems like a very short life span for what should be a top quality product.

Based on repairman's recommendation & ratings, replaced my dead Jenn Air with a Bosch 500 which had a leaking rinse aid reservoir. Had the reservoir replaced & new one did same. Repair guy suggested replacing the dishwasher. Didn't love the 'air dry' & smell of Bosch, & concerned that another would have same problem. Kitchen Aid & Whirlpool models with comparable ratings were both on my original list. Bought the KA with handle that almost exactly matches my Jenn Air oven handles. Love it! Just as quiet as Bosch, no leaky reservoir, no smell, cleans & dries perfectly, & easy to load! Best Buy, sales associates, & 3 out of 4 install guys were absolutely wonderful through the process! Took a little while, but I'm very happy!

A piece of junk! Motor and sump pump went bad after only 20 months of use and cost over $460 for parts and labor to replace. Now, 19 months later, it is not working again! The washer is not feeding hot water into the washer.

It was pretty dented. Got a few dollars discount but according to my wife, not enough.

After about a dozen repairs and every single component being replaced at least once, Best buy swapped it out with another Dishwasher (different Brand). New one cleans dishes better on the quick cycle than this did on the longest one.

I am disappointed that the dishwasher does not dry the dishes completely.

I thought Kitchen Aid was a great brand to have but it is not right at all. Since we bought it we have problems. We have called for service to check the problems but all we got is recommendations from Geek Squad. I purchased 3 year extended warranty but doesn't worth a penny. Geek Squad is terrible in customer service. I would never buy appliances from bestbuy and Kitchen Aid again. It takes 4 hours to finish express cycle and 8 hours regular wash. It already started getting rust on the outside "stainless steel" front panel after 3 months of use. total disappointment.

When correct product was delivered, the installer did an excellent job.

My family and I use our appliances a lot! Our last dishwasher fell apart before our eyes. It was a name brand dishwasher, but buckled under heavy use. I read a bunch of reviews and bought this one. I am very happy with my selection! It's a powerful dishwasher that is not only well constructed but it's really quiet. The bottom rack is really heavy duty so I am certain it will withstand the abuse it will get from being run often with a heavy load of dishes, glasses and pots and pans. I love the double utensil rack which again is made of heavy duty plastic and it gives you plenty of space. Additionally, not everyone in my family like to pre rinse and/or scrub prior to loading the dishwasher which meant more work for the person unloading with our old unit. I don't think that will change and so far it hasn't been an issue because the glasses, dishes and even pot ware have come out clean!! I would highly recommend this dishwasher!!

Less than 5 years later and it's stopped working. The motor died, we replaced it, and now the heating element is dead. Avoid at all costs.

Pump was replace within months of initial purchase. Pump is out again. Leaves soap residue and does not clean effectively.

Broke after only 2 weeks. Best Buy offered to send a replacement. It wasn't delivered on planned delivery date. Now no one I've called (over 7 calls) knows why and the manager has not even called back. Horrible customer service and so unprofessional!! Worst buying experience ever.

I have had this dishwasher for about 8 months and I have yet to have a load where I did not need to hand wash at least one dish and one piece of silverware after a wash. I have tried different cycles, different soaps, putting in small loads, cleaning with Lemifresh, etc. I clean the filter and I load the washer per the instructions in the manual. I make sure the water is hot. I am at the end of my rope after paying for what I thought would be a quality dishwasher and not have it do the only job it is inteneded to do.

I have had this dishwasher for about 3 weeks now, normally I would wait longer to review, but, I use this dishwasher at least every other day, so I figured it had been long enough to review. I will start by saying that I LOVE this dishwasher. It replaced a dishwasher that we had for about 15 years (still worked, but loud). This dishwasher is extremely quiet. Our TV room is right next to the kitchen and we run it after dinner and can't hear it running while we watch T.V. Now, about the cleaning, the dishes come out sparkling clean, it does take a lot longer than our old dishwasher-that is why I did not give it 5-stars. But, it looks beautiful, runs like a champ and cleans fantastic. Great dishwasher for the price compared to other models. Would definitely recommend!

After having it for 6 months the upper rack guide broke then after 1 year start making loud noises

DO NOT BUY! This dishwasher broke in the first month that we had it. The warranty got a repair guy out here who then had to order a part. We have now been waiting over 2 weeks since the initial appointment. At this point its been broke about as long as we actually had it working. I have emailed a complaint to KitchenAid directly hoping they will actually care.

This dishwasher worked well for 11 months and then just stopped cleaning my dishes well. Trying to get it fixed is difficult.

This dishwasher looks great, works great, and has more options for operating then any I've had before - and that's not just electronic settings but the raisable/lowerable/removable top shelf, too. The bar to pull on to open the dishwasher door sticks out a little more then I expected, and had everything in my kitchen been flush it would have looked out of place. My counter has an overhang, though, so it really doesn't matter. Also, I have a small child who loved the small buttons on my old dishwasher (this didn't contribute to its demise, but did pause the occasional cycle or cancel it altogether) so having the buttons unnoticeable on the top of the door is great.
