The look, quality feel and quiet operation make this dishwasher a winner! The smudgeless stainless steel is a welcome addition, and really does look nice. When you open and close the front door or pull out the racks, everything seems solidly built, unlike comparable GE models that I considered. Very little sound escapes the unit and if it wasn’t for the blue operating light, you may not know it’s running. I like the bottle wash feature and adjustable top rack. It’s a winner!

Purchased to replace our dishwasher that experienced a motor failure. Did my research and it was between the KitchenAid and the Bosch. Chose this one and it is amazing! Dishes are always clean and dry and all you can hear is the water splashing around inside, when it’s on. Even the installer was impressed! KitchenAid is the real deal!!

I really love ❤️ this dishwasher from the stainless interior, the top rack that raises and lowers, this parade novels or bottles on the top rack and the roomy lower rack. It’s also quite and very efficient!

Had a expensive GE monogram dishwasher which was terrible. This KitchenAid does a great job on cleaning and drying you need to make sure you have the Correct settings.I read a few reviews people say it does a horrible job of drying the only thing I could think of is they don’t have it in the right settings

We have been very impressed with this unit from day one. It’s very quiet, easy to load, and it even cleans the bottom of our pots to a near like new condition. It drys well also. No complaints so far!

We’ve had this dishwasher about three weeks at this point, and so far, it is excellent in every respect. Most notably, it does its job well: dishes come out crystal clean. The prior dishwasher left glasses hazy, but we chalked it up to water quality. We were wrong. The KitchenAid leaves glasses like new.
Other considerations:The exterior truly is fingerprint-proof, which was a deciding factor between it and a less expensive KitchenAid. The interior is spacious and well-designed. It’s very quiet when in operation. It’s so quiet that we don’t even hear it when it’s running. In contrast, we would only run the prior dishwasher overnight because it made too much noise if we were watching television.
Only one minor issue. The controls weren’t very responsive the first day that we had it. For the next load, they worked exactly as expected even though we did nothing different. Not sure how to explain that.
Overall, we’ve been so pleased that I’ve already started dreaming about replacing our other appliances with KitchenAids.

Overall I am happy with the dishwasher. Great appearance. Easy to use, nice features. Cleans all my dishes well. The only con I have for this product is the racks are a little light weight and sometimes jump off the track when pushing in. Be we are a large house hold and put a lot of large loads through the dishwasher... in other worlds it is always packed to the fullest when running and it always gets them all clean! Plus for me!

had for a month cleans well using powder, nice extra room for big loads than former GE profile dw, easy to set, quiet. remember to hit start again if opened to add something mid cycle. Only oddity is it seems to get warm and moist inside in between uses. not necessarily a bad thing but door is stiff to have to make effort to open whole way down to slide out bottom rack. which racks do slide easily.

I purchased this dishwasher on Black Friday for $500, and for that price, I am quite happy. It's very quiet, especially compared to some $300 low-end dishwashers I've used in the past, though probably not as quiet as a $1200 Bosch. Basically, unless you are in a 300 sqft apartment, you won't hear this running from another room. The top rack is adjustable, so you can lower it if you have tall cups, or raise it if you have tall platters in the bottom rack. It also has a single light in the top right corner of the face that indicates when it is running and when it is done, so that you don't have to guess when it is finished or walk over to it to listen.
I will say, in order to get the most out of this dishwasher, you will need to use higher end dishwashing detergent. I refuse to pre-wash my dishes, because that defeats the purpose of a dishwasher, so having dishes come out clean without pre-washing is very important to me. The off-brand liquid stuff we used to use did not get the dishes consistently clean, so before I gave this 2 stars, I decided to try Cascade Platinum packs, and now the dishes come out consistently clean. I will try to back down to the slightly cheaper Cascade Complete packs when the Platinum packs I have run out.
I will warn that you must be careful putting the handle on when installing. One side slipped while I was reaching for a tool, and it left a HUGE GOUGE in the stainless steel surface that I now have to cover up with a big Dirty/Clean magnet. Basically, if you don't keep FULL FORWARD pressure on the handle until it is fully secured, it will slip and scratch the surface. This could have been designed way better to prevent this from happening by simply having a lip to allow the handle to "hang" there, or having the instructions tell you to put the handle on before standing the upright! Without this error on the part of the manufacturer, this dishwasher would be 5 stars all day long. Unfortunately, that gouge is now a giant eyesore that I have to live with.

We have had this Dishwasher for a couple months now. It does a great job cleaning everything, it's quiet, and we like the bottle wash feature. All of the mechanical parts seem to be well made and feel secure, but only time will tell whether it lasts 19 years like the last Kitchen Aid Dishwasher we had.

BEWARE OF PURCHASING ANYTHING KITCHENAID WHIRLPOOL

We purchased a brand new Kitchenaid dishwasher in a brand new home. The dishwasher never worked, we had 3 service calls, they replaced motor and the power board, and now they won't replace the unit. Here's how it played out...
We closed on a brand new house early January 2018 with all new Kitchenaid appliances (Refrigerator, Range, Range Hood, Microwave, Dishwasher). This dishwasher never worked, it would not circulate or dissolve the soap, nor would it dry at all (it is supposed to have heated dry, and yes, we filled the Rinse Aid with their suggested brand before ever running it). Whirlpool/Kitchenaid sent a service tech three separate times to work on it. The motor was replaced, and the power board was replaced, but it still doesn't circulate or dissolve the soap, nor does it dry at all, same exact issues as stated above (see the attached photos for proof).
After one month of going through this process, we spoke with customer service and requested a replacement. Then had to wait another 2-3 business days for someone to hopefully approve the replacement. Robin (refused to give her last name because she obviously knew they were in the wrong) from Whirlpool/Kitchenaid finally got back to us and determined that they would NOT replace the dishwasher. At this point, we have NEVER been able to use this dishwasher. We also found out through this painful process that this particular model has been discontinued, and Whirlpool/Kitchenaid also has a "service flash" on this unit (something related to a defect with the upper rack system), which was told by their direct tech line to the onsite service tech.
This unit, ours in particular, is obviously a "lemon" and needs to be replaced. We are shocked and distraught that Whirlpool/Kitchenaid would not back their own product, especially with the "Kitchenaid" brand which is supposed to be their higher end brand. It is appalling how this company operates and conducts business, and how they've treated us as true Kitchenaid customers. Please keep in mind that this is a brand new house with all brand new appliances, and the builder wanted to install FRIDGEDAIRE PROFESSIONAL SERIES appliances, but we specifically requested and paid for KITCHENAID, which is turning out to be the biggest mistake we could have made.
All we wanted was a working dishwasher, which we never got, now we have to go out and purchase ANOTHER one on our own, because Whirlpool/Kitchenaid will not back their own products, which is a total disgrace. We cannot understand for the life of us how ANY company could leave their customer with a brand new non-functioning dishwasher!!!
BASED ON OUR PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WITH THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE (OR BLATANT LACK THEREOF), WE CANNOT RECOMMEND ANY KITCHENAID OR WHIRLPOOL PRODUCTS TO ANYONE FOR ANY REASON.

We are most impressed with how quiet this dishwasher is. We cannot hear it in another room like we did with our old model. Not having a third rack is a drawback, and we haven't fully enjoyed the benefit of the bottle-washing nozzles. We are nonetheless very pleased with the product and the cleanliness of our glasses and dishes at the end of each load.
