Renovated our kitchen and outfitted it with all KitchenAid products (dishwasher, electric range, built-in microwave/oven, refrigerator) and the dishwasher was the first to fail. This model has a current Service Pointer for the heater element bushing, but my serial number falls outside the pointer's range even though the leak was from that exact part. Unsure why the range hasn't been expanded. The official KitchenAid technician in the area was booked out a few weeks, they then tried to reschedule to a later date. I didn't want to wait so I called in an independent appliance repair tech and they confirmed my assumption. Ordered the parts myself afterwards and fixed it. Wish I had caught the leak sooner. Water ended up running underneath on the subfloor and caused our kitchen floor elsewhere in the kitchen to cup.
