Leaks and Lacks Customer Service

It was leaking bad enough that there was a puddle on the kitchen floor and water dripping from the basement ceiling. We had a plumber out who confirmed it wasn't the water lines in our out, the dishwasher was leaking. Called KitchenAid who sent a repairman about a week later. The Repairman determined that the dishwasher's water heater was defective and was what was causing the leak. It's covered under warranty, BUT the part is on backorder, and they don't know when it will be available. At this point we've been without a dishwasher for a couple weeks or so. We asked them to take a water heater out of a stock dishwasher and they said we have to wait 21 days to see if the part will come in. We have 7 people in our house and do a lot of dishes, so being without a dishwasher for five weeks is a real pain, particularly when we opted for a higher-end dishwasher. We called Best Buy to see what they could do to and were told that since we didn't buy the Geek Squad Protection, they couldn't do anything. I could understand that if we'd had this thing for a year or more, but it's unusable after just four months. Needless to say, I'm disappointed with the dishwasher, KitchenAid and Best Buy.

Quiet and efficient

Just a year after it was installed, it started to leak water and caused some water damage on our kitchen floor. It leaked from the two connection points of the heat tube. We are really disappointed.

Big Problem

The people that came by on Wednesday did not remove the old dishwasher and therefore did NOT see the pipe. Also the plug could NOT be plugged in due to the presence of the electrical unit that operated the garbage disposal. The Wednesday crew also did NOT see this problem. I am NOT a happy customer. I Now have to hire a plumber and electrician to solve these problems. this work could have been done prior to the delivery of the new dishwasher.

Had high hopes buying American but it Stopped working two weeks after install. BestBuy came out to repair (didnt do anything) and it started working again for another two weeks and STOPPED lastnight right after Thanksgiving Dinner (just my luck). KitchenAid warranty is only for repairs and not replacement and refuses to do anything else even after I escalated. I expected more buying an American product.
