Defective Unit?

Then wouldn't drain properly... spent $400 to have a plumber come out to snake the drain pipes and replace the airgap because surely it couldn't be the new dishwasher. Nope. Water flow and drain lines are perfect. The problem was the new dishwasher. I then spent another three months dealing with Best Buy support, a technician came out to my house twice, delayed part orders, etc. Finally got the parts replaced and the problem was "fixed" for about a month and now it won't drain again. Error message and ends the wash mid-cycle. Lemon. Beyond frustrated...

DO NOT BUT FROM BEST BUY. GSP is a WASTE of money

Initial GSP tried to push me out to the manufacturer for support, then agreed to support given the 1st year has lapsed. Then no parts. Agreed to exchange. Then canceled the exchange. Long holds. No support. Left in the dwindle over 1200 out of pocket!!!

Long long wait and still can't use it.

Waiting (yet another month) for someone to come fix it. Had to wait six weeks from purchase to installation. Once we can use it, I'll write another "review"

I was told I had to return the dishwasher back to the store.

DO NOT BUY THIS OR ANY KITCHENAID APPLIANCE

In the first five months of owning it, it did NOT work for two of those months. Their service company took weeks and weeks to come out, couldn’t fix it and then took weeks more to come back. It’s now been nine months and I’ve spent countless hours on the phone with KitchenAid, on the phone with their service company, and waiting at home for this terrible machine to be serviced. It still is NOT fixed. I think I’ve had it serviced six or seven times already and need them to come back again. Currently on hold with kitchenaid again.

Do not buy this product mostly defected

Very Disappointed in KitchenAid

Starting having Error Codes constantly. Looked up all the "resolutions" to those codes and still having issues. I believe the unit is having "computer type" issues. Not Good! Not Old Enough for these issues.

Pacific Sales kitchen Aid

Installed said have them send a replacement and he will install for free. Pacific Sales and Kitchen Aid [owned by Whirlpool] refused to replace. It has taken 6 weeks to have Kitchen Aid send a repair person. And they will only look at it, even though I informed them what the installed said was wrong. Then you have to make another appointment. I have to take two days off work to HOPEFULLY have a machine that works. It will be 8 weeks by the time they finish. They said the warranty starts the day of purchase, not the day they give you a working dishwasher. They refuse to give a new warranty start date.

Then, I found out the shocking stupidity of this dishwasher. There are two filters on it. One is a filter for large particles which is visible at the bottom of the unit. It is easy to clean. The fine filter is attached to the motor. To clean this filter you have to uninstall the dishwasher, turn it on its side, remove the motor, take off the filter and clean it.

However, I can comment on how horrible the service was from their third party installation team. Save yourself some aggravation and go any place else to buy a dishwasher. Not only did they tell me that the standard size dishwasher that I purchased would not fit in the standard sized area that my current dishwasher is in,they came out 3 times to install and each time with a different reason why and on the fourth time, they lost my dishwasher. I ended up at Lowes and purchased the same dishwasher for less money and had ZERO issues

Horrible item, horrible guidance from Best Buy

Best buy sales people should not push for items which are not getting sold, how we are stuck with a machine which hardly cleans anything. We have to first rinse and then put it to make it work, horrible!!

DO NOT BUY

Please everyone DO NOT BUY KITCHENAID PRODUCTS the support is horrible as they hung up on me and said they don't compensate the customer for having to take a day off for their error? Please feel free to contact me and I am going on every social platform to notify people not to purchase your products. Also bought the top of the line fridge, microwave, and gas stove. I regret my purchase.
