    Purchased this dishwasher on 11/2020 less than two years the unit has failed "part number Circulation Pump Filter W11108699 " failed on unit. Unfortuanatley did not get extended warranty if you decide to purchase be sure to get extended warranty provided by BB I called Kitchen Aid they indicated cant help since out of 1 year warranty. I feel this is known problem and theyb could helped us out.

    Circulation pump failure

    It served me for 3 and half years and then the circulation pump got damaged. Servicing it will cost 570 USD. Thanks Kitchen Aid.

    DO NOT BUY!! Our dishwasher is only 1 1/2 yrs old and already broke. The motherboard has to be replaced and of course kitchenaid says it’s out of warranty. We spent over $1000 on a dishwasher that broke after a year of normal use, it’s ridiculous. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

    BAD QUALITY CONTROL. HIGH PRICE TRASH!!!

    Of the many brands, we chose KitchenAid because it has a good reputation. It is expensive and we are looking forward to our new dishwasher price should match its performance. But unfortunately, that wasn't the case. From the beginning, the dishes came out with a strong smell of detergent and food residue and it has never been dried completely. We trusted the quality of the KitchenAid and never thought it would be a fault of the new dishwasher. We switched to many different types of detergents and still no change in results. We also tried all the cleaning modes, still the same. Until recently, the odor was getting worse and worse, so we made an appointment with a KitchenAid technician. The technician checked and found that the vent was shorting out on the board, causing the machine to fail to complete cycle. the technician said that the entire vent part needed to be replaced, and we realized that we had bought a faulty product from the factory. The part is said to take a long time to be ordered, and we do not know when we will be able to use the complete product. It makes me angry to think of using dishes that have not been washed for so long. Don't buy this product, quality control is really questionable!

    Beware - may not work as good as it looks

    So I was happy to find this model and it was in stock. The dishwasher went good for 6 months and then one day I get a weird beep. We find out the water did not drain after cleaning. This happens a few times. With unit in warranty, called Kitchenaid and I get a service appt after 2 weeks. The technician says possibly the sensor is bad, so he orders the part and we wait another 4 weeks first draining the water with shop vac but then realized that the drain worked just not in the wash cycle. So we wait after the wash and drain after 30 minutes or so. Then found that in some washes, the soap was not rinsed. So now, we wash, wait, drain, wait, run rinse cycle and then air dry. Fun! The part finally in and we get it replaced, but that does not fix the problem. The technician says now we need to try the motherboard to be replaced. Part is backordered and may come after 3 weeks. And all we need to do is wait. Find out we are not alone. Technician says this has been the problem with this model. In some cases, they repaired a few parts and then finally ordered replacement units. So 6 months after the new dishwasher, we are now 2 months without a functioning dishwasher. Will probably be another 3 weeks before it is fixed and 2 more weeks before it is replaced. The only saving grace, we have extended warranty. So buy it if you want to live through this. Or get a Bosch. That was my old washer and ran 10 years.

    Poor Quality

    Do not buy this product!!! Very unhappy with it! After a year and a half it stopped working. Called Whirlpool and they scheduled a service call. Turns out the error code F9 E1 indicated a bad drain pump. The repair company charged $170.00 for the diagnosis and another $400.00 to fix. BTW, also purchased a stainless steel Kitchen Aid oven at the same time and the fan has been making a whistling noise after a year. Tech told me another $500.00 to fix that!! Bad bearing. Called CS and said they were sorry and they only offered to give me a 15% discount on another Whirlpool/Kitchenaid product. No thanks!!

    Worked great initially. After about a year and a half it started being extremely loud when running. Now just over 2 years in, it stopped working. I don't normally splurge on high end appliances, and now I never will again.

    Not Worth The Money

    Bought dishwasher in Jan 2022 for our new construction home. We didn't move in until April 2022. It is not getting the dishes clean. Called a repairman out and he said it needed a new pump, $600. Call Kitchenaid and they said it was not longer under warranty but I could purchase a warranty for $300 and have it repaired with a repair fee. I will never purchase another Kitchenaid product. Instead of trying to sell a warranty for a product less than 2 years old, how about standing behind the one I've already purcahsed for $1000. And how about making a quality product that last more than 2 years.

    Do NOT Buy - Will Leak and Damage Floor and Walls

    Our KitchenAid dishwasher leaked and caused over $8K in damage to our cabinets and walls. It was a slow leak that wasn't noticeable until we started seeing/smelling mold and mildew in our cabinets. Weak plastic hoses will break over time. I don't know why they don't use a metal shield under the dishwasher to collect water or have a leak detection system. If this wasn't the case, I would have given the dishwasher 2 out of 5 because of the slow cycle and inconsistent cleaning.

    Great if it works, but it probably won't.

    This dishwasher has been a nightmare. We bought this model originally from Lowe's and 2 days after we got it, it stopped working. We had a terrible time getting Lowe's to fix it, so we eventually returned it and bought the same model from Best Buy. Now it's been 8 months and the motor on this one broke as well. It took 2 months to get a kitchenaid technician (which is actually a whirlpool technician because KA is owned by Whirlpool) to come out. Additionally, the new motor is on backorder, so I have no idea when I will have a working dishwasher. Long-story short, it's a great dishwasher that cleans well when it works, but if it stops working (which 2 out of 2 dishwashers did within the first year of owning them) it is a NIGHTMARE to get repaired.

    Terrible product and terrible customer service

    Stopped working 3 years after purchasing new. There was a manufacturer defect with the hose and had been leaking slowing for months if not a year. We discovered the damage when it stopped working and there was mold everywhere and water damage. I called Whirlpool KitchenAid and they were not helpful whatsoever. We are spending thousands to fix the damage and they should be liable but do not take responsibility.

    We've only had this for two years and the quality rapidly declined in the last year. Constantly have to rerun dish loads to get a proper clean. Very disappointed. Wanted to love this - expected more from KitchenAid.

    DO NOT BUY this dishwasher or the extended warranty. After owning this dishwasher for 2 years, every single plastic item in the dishwasher has had to be replaced due to warping and breakage. Geek Squad has been out to fix it 4 times in 4 months. Now the circulation pump is broken and the part is on back order for an unknown amount of time. BB will not provide a replacement and every time I call, they tell me I have to wait and then I get disconnected. Poor product. Poor customer service. If you purchase this, get ready to do a lot of hand washing. I'm going to the BBB next.

    Lasted 2 years. The unit keeps stopping mid-cycle. Required a maintenance guy to come out and replace a gauge. Told me this is normal for this unit and sees these units get about 5 years of life. For a dishwasher that costs this much, you would hope it has better quality. Nope.

    How the mighty have fallen

    New item: had to replace the motor 3 times to prevent a clicking sound. After 3 years the motor failed. Have a kitchenaid warranty plan. No replacement parts available. May get the motor 2 months after I reported the problem (may not get in 2 months). A lot of hand washing. If they can sell new items, why can't they service relatively new items?
