    Great refrigerator, I had to put in a warranty claim for flickering lights and the water dispenser locking up. They fixed it under warranty quickly though

    Four months into our purchase, we had to call customer service twice already. First because of a very loud grinding noise that turned out to be a frozen fan. Kitchenaid forgot to properly seal the freezer compartment according to the repair person. The second issue we are having is food starting to turn bad in the main compartment. We measured the temperature and it was barely 52. We became livid with anger as Ktchenaid said all they could do is send another technician to repair the unit. a $3000 refrigerator is slowly falling apart before our own eyes and there is nothing we can do about it. Thanks Kitchenaid!!!!!

    We've had this fridge for 6 months. Several issues with damaged parts coming from manufacture (when delivered). They did finally send undamaged parts ... after three attempts. French door (left side when your looking at fridge) has a flap that ensures the fridge is sealed when closed. If we close the right side first, the left door (with the flap) catches the closed door, preventing it from closing. Twin Cities repair has been out three times. They finally told us we should always open both doors and close the left side first. Fringe is going on 7 months old, we will be following up with Kitchen Aid again. Note: This does not happen all the time, but enough where it is a nuisance and issue with kids leaving the door open. Also, we are concerned that the door will get dented from this.

    Worst appliance I have ever owned

    I purchased this Refrigerator about 5 years ago and have had nothing but problems. Technicians have been out to repair it 5 times and I have lost 3 refrigerators worth of food. Definitely not the kind of quality appliance that I would have expected from KitchenAid.

    I purchased Ktichen Aid Refrigator because, Kitchen Aid was the top of the line from Whirlpool. Refrigator needs lights replace multiple times, not to mention the mother board. In addtion, refrigerator need to be shutoff and shuton, because refrigerator keep shutoff.

    Holy mother of god!!! Do not buy this fridge! We have had over 8 service calls in 18 months. What a disaster. If you like pain and suffering this fridge is for you. If you want a hassle free life then look elsewhere. The ice maker stopped working. The coil in the back has repeatedly turned into a frozen block of ice. It sounds like there is an angry monkey banging a wrench inside it at all times. What a nightmare. That being said!!! If it was possible to also give the Best Buy geek squad extended warranty 10 stars I would. They were extremely helpful the entire time and have come through with an exchange for a different fridge. Do not buy without getting a warranty!!!

    KA Service Horrible, Compressor gone at 3 months

    Compressor went after 3 months, I bought this from BB on 6.9.17. Failed and lost all frozen and refrigerated food and water all over floor. Contacting Kitchen Aid is ridiculous. Horrible service for a premium product. This is a Weds. and they can't service it until Tuesday of next week, are you kidding me? Totally worthless.

    Ice buildup 6 months after purchase. 2 different appliance companies, replacements of parts, 5 visits, (one of which we had to completely empty contents and shut down for 24 hrs) phone calls to store, kitchenaid and warranty company. Glad I purchased it bc I knew it would come to this. Now they are giving me a buyout which is only 75% of full price. I lost $ on this “pretty commercial piece of crap.” I’ll never buy an appliance from Best Buy or kitchenaid again!!!!

    Kitchenaid is not what it used to be!

    We have had it 4 years and had to service it 4 times for the iceing problem. Grew up with Kitchenaid and it was great products that lasted so I thought this would be good for our new house. When delivery guy unpacked the refrig he noted the make and model and mentioned "Oh, well I guess we will be picking this one back up" indicating they are not a good product. Won't buy Kitchenaid again.

    Total Lemon - Avoid at all costs

    I wish I could give 0 stars for this refrigerator. I purchased this unit in May 2018 and have had repeated issues with it. The coil on the back panel has frozen over three times causing me to lose all food in my fridge. The most recent issue occurred with the coil assembly for the freezer. If one part goes bad on this unit, the whole unit shuts down. Do not purchase this unit!

    I have had 4 problems with this refrigerator in the 2 years and 4 months I have owned it. 3 of which were the exact same thing and they still will not replace it. The Customer Service at KitchenAid is very poor unless you just want to take what they give you and get off the phone. Would definitely not buy a KitchenAid/Whirlpool Appliance again if I can help it.

    I have had this refrigerator for three years now and already have had to replace the internal fans in it. Two service calls later and still having issues. I DO NOT recommend this refrigerator. Food has spoiled yet again in the fridge. You would think after spending a little more you would get better quality, NOT the case.

    The developer installed the refrigerator in my new home and left it covered while kitchen was being completed. When the refrigerator was eventually uncovered, we discovered dings in the stainless steel front panel. they are very small, but nonetheless very frustrating on a a brand new appliance. KitchenAid will not stand behind their product and fix this. I would not recommend this refrigerator as it is made with inferior stainless steel.

    Soon after warranty expired, a few of the lights went out and the rest started flickering / strobing whenever I looked in the fridge. KitchenAid won't provide a service manual download to let me do basic troubleshooting. Individual light modules are $60-75, and there are a lot of them in the fridge (10 or more) so just replacing all of them will be very painful. Supposed never need to change them LEDs are unreliable. I've seen many people posting with this problem, not just me. Of course, calling them was useless as well, beyond them reminding me that this is why you should buy the extended warranty (because we make crap that doesn't work / isn't well designed).
