Not overwhelming and doesn't take up a lot of room on counter. Removing the cup from base for the first time was difficult. Was afraid it was going to break however, it was just the initial removal.

We were able to make homemade pesto without issue, and it worked perfectly. It is on the smaller side, but for what we paid for it, it is the right gadget for our kitchen and needs.

You do have to manually hold down the handle lever to control how long you want to keep the processor on, which is not a difficult thing to do.
