I purchased this cooktop having only seen it online. If the store had been able to display this model, I would never have purchased it. The grids are extremely heavy. The ignition starter ticks loudly for a significant amount of time. The position of the knobs in front makes the cool space smaller. Look good but clumsily designed.

The issue with this model is the control knobs on the very left and right sides are directly in front of the two front burners. This is a huge safety issue because when those burners are on, those two knobs become very hot and can burn you.

Came completely gritty without stainless steal luster

Very bad flames. They are not adjustable and almost go with the same flame heat. I really regret purchasing this item. Unfortunately, I could not install that in the return window and it was installed after the return window. Very disappointed. I am a cook and was very excited to get this item, but now every cooking is like a torturing.

If you care about the appearance of your appliances, like scratches and stains, do not, I repeat, do NOT buy this stovetop!!! I am a diehard Kitchenaid fanatic and I will NEVER buy another one of their stoves!!

This cooktop is the maximum in efficiency, finishes and price. it is an excellent product

Play gas stove does not ignite properly and is very dangerous. I called for service and it has not been properly repaired. I am very disappointed

Just had this installed yesterday and the markings for the burner settings and even the brand stamp is faded. You can barely see it. In addition, there is a circle imprint next to one of the knobs as if a sticker or something had been on there for a while. I’ll be returning today.

It looks perfect in my kitchen. Love that it has a wok holder. But the electric starter (?) doesnt work. The gas turns on but doesnt ignite. It worked once while the installers were here - and then never again.

My new KitchenAid 36" gas cooktop is beautiful and all that I want in a stove top! I especially like the straight lines of the grill and the control knobs (which are not plastic) lined up across the front. This line-up, being close to where hands may be moving, does make it easy to accidently hit them but the gas warning click catches the mistake quickly. I was removing melted butter from the microwave and it accidentally spilled on my new, very clean, burners! I thought I had created a greasy mess but the encased burners made it quick and easy to clean ! So easy to clean! The interlocking grills make the surface easy to use with any size pot and to slide across from burner to burner.. The " lids" for the burners are very easy to take on and off...no "match knob to the hole" to frustrate one. This stove top looks professional and expensive! A couple at the store told me they love the GE brand so much that after already waiting 2 months for their order and now being told it would take another 2 months, they felt it was worth it! I don't know how their choice compares to mine but I'm using mine right now and I have no complaints! Please note. When ordering, make sure the store measures the hole before you purchase. Lowes required that and even though I though it would fit they did have to trim my granite.

I was excited to receive our cooktop. However, I was disappointed to find that the finish was very poor quality. It is much rougher than our other kitchenAid appliances (refrigerator and dishwasher). In addition, the finish appears "blotchy." There areas that look as though the finish has worn off. And there are scratches and blotchiness may just be our individual unit. I am not sure because best buy refused to exchange for another unit (I am a total tech member and they still refused).

I have not been able to use since there were no burner caps included with the stove top. I bough back in August and still have not received the caps!! I'm cooking on a camp stove!

October 2015, after moving into a new home, I decided to update my old GE cooktop, double oven, and microwave. Kitchen Aid was having a great promotion at the time, along with most other high end appliance companies and I was having a hard time deciding on the best brand to purchase. Of course, the more appliances you buy, the better the rebate. The last home I lived in I purchased Thermador appliances and was mostly happy with them, but this time around I thought, "is Thermador worth the extra $2-3K more?" Both KitchenAid and Thermador looked very similar, stainless steel, rolled bar handles, digital display. In the past I didn't think KitchenAid looked high end, but with this new line it definitely was a competitor. I even liked the blue oven interior (which they mirrored after Wolf). I decided to go with KitchenAid in the end and now I come to my review of the cooktop: I have been very happy with this cooktop from KitchenAid. It definitely performs like the high end cooktops! The best part is it is easy to clean. Like I said previously, I had a Thermador which has those cute stars for burners. They worked great but were a bear to clean! I have had this cooktop for several months now and it still looks brand new. The performance is good too. It has a high power BTU in the middle and an extra low one too. The handles light up as well when you turn the knobs. I purchased this 36" cooktop and think the size is good for multiple pots. I don't have problems with overcrowding or using multiple pots at the same time.

Grates go fully across, not angled off at bottom inner corners. Easy to clean.

I am unable to make a review because the cooktop was missing burn covers in the box. I called customer 6 times two days trying to get the missing items.
