We found that there had been a pinhole leak in the stainless steel tub and dripping water the whole time. Whirlpool/kitchenaid service was no help. Absolutely NO ownership of the defective product. No warranty and would not repair. Never again.

As for the installation by Best Buy, it was very poor. The installers were not able to do any alterations to waterlines. They can only do bolt on installations. Scheduling of the the installation was 8 weeks after the purchase. Be aware of Best Buy installations. This is the second installation that did not go well.

It ran fine for a while, and was fine when it worked, but a couple months before the first year was up the heating element died, so it won't run hot, it does a lousy job of cleaning, and it won't dry anything. We called Best Buy but they told us we had to go through the manufacturer for warranty service, they won't help us until after the warranty expires. The manufacturer's website, after running through some forms, informed us that service is not available in our area, and gave a phone number to call. After three tries and a total of probably 3.5 hours waiting on hold, we got to a technician who told us that we needed a repair, but that no service was currently available in our area, but some outside firm was going to be retained to maybe figure out how to hire someone to fix it, and they would hopefully contact us within a week.
