My middle daughter wanted a stand mixer for Christmas. My youngest daughter and I each have a KitchenAid (as did my mother and grandmother, in the 1950s and beyond!), so I knew they're well-made and reliable. Plus, KitchenAid was rated the top mixer in the articles rating mixers that I read. So, KitchenAid showed up under the tree, and my middle daughter is very happy! (My husband was a little cranky when he picked up my order, because this mixer is very heavy!)

I’ve been wanting a Kitchen Aid (larger than 3 qts) for years so I could make my mom’s monster cookies for my daughter’s. It popped into my head to check the price after dropping my girls off at their moms for Mother’s Day and was shocked when I saw it $150 off. I immediately purchased it and it was delivered very quickly (2 days later) but unfortunately had to wait until the weekend for the cookies. It powered through the full 5.5 quart bowl of very thick cookie dough and never broke a sweat! We had enough cookies for all 3 daughters to bring some to school and for me to bring enough into work to be ridiculed (jokingly) by my coworkers and earn the nickname “Betty “F^%#ing” Crocker”! Lol

it took me getting used to how the bowl can go in the best way so that it snaps into the back grove, but once I got the hang of it, it was great. I highly recommend getting some kind of splatter guard for the top as you mix, and get the better with the silicone side so it can scrap the bowl as it spins. I would highly recommend this product it was worth the purchase.

The mixer performs well with this new design and this is a more practical approach to engage with the necessary steps with your baking. The tilt design could become a challenge in certain situations where the mix can spill. But that issue is fixed with this new one.

This mixer works great! It has many speeds and seems very heavy duty. I think it will be a baker's best friend! Comes with different mixer attachments which is really nice. And I love the red color!

This was a birthday gift for my wife and she absolutely loves it! The color is beautiful and the upgraded size and functionality are amazing conveniences. We are excited to purchase all of the available attachments!

I have been wanting a stand mixer for years but dreaded the thought of spending so much money on a KitchenAid. My husband made me buy one so of course I wasn't going to disobey him! I have been making sandwich bread, bagels, cakes, etc. I am in love with my mixer. I already got the grater shredder attachment from my Dad and of course it's also amazing. I can't wait to collect all the attachments.

Super easy to use. Great quality ! Already picked up some of the attachments for the unit. If you spend anytime backing, choping , cooking in the kitchwn you will not be sorry this is a time saver. I pocked up mine to make masa

The KitchenAid 5.5 Quart Bowl-Lift Stand Mixer works really well. It feels strong and mixes doughs and batters smoothly. The bowl-lift mechanism is a bit different at first, but you get used to it quickly. It’s a bit heavy to move around, but overall, I’m happy with it. Great quality and looks nice too.

This mixer is slightly larger than the one that doesn’t have the bowl lift but the bowl lift actually seems to be a more sturdy feature. There are 11 mixing speeds which is really nice for everything from my making pizza dough to whipped cream. It’s the perfect appliance when you need an extra hand or two in the kitchen but also just enjoy being in the kitchen working alone. I love how KitchenAid makes different colors and designs to fit not only the need in the kitchen but also the aesthetic. The matte black and stainless look fits right into my kitchen. It came with three accessories and recipes already but I have ordered a few more and learned how to use them with the easy instructions and recipes that come with each item. This mixer does have less options for changing out the bowl because of the way you sit the bowl in place. There are two holes in either side of the bowl which fit over two studs and behind the bowl it clips in also. (This creates the stability I mentioned previously). I know some people like the ability to change out the bowls or have multiple on hand so definitely keep this in mind if you are that person. I personally recommend this product if you are the one hosting large holiday meals and the smaller version just won’t cut it. You can make small batches still but the extra quart with this one compared to the smaller one is definitely a plus for me because of the larger meals I cook a few times a year.

The mixer is a game changer for baking. It makes the entire process so much quicker and easier. The mixer itself is easy to use, anyone can figure it out. IT is really heavy, so make sure you dont need to move it too much.

This mixer seems to be built to the same quality level as the 20+ year old 4.5 qt model it supplements, and will eventually replace, in my kitchen. Having to mount the bowl and raise it rather than raising the motor assembly takes some getting used to but it works just fine. It comes with a corkscrew-type dough 'hook', which doesn't work for small loads; an L-shaped hook is not available for it. Mixer is very stable and takes up only a little more room than the old one.

Does a great job. Love all the attachments that come with it. I am happy I got it on sale. Love this choice for a mixer.

Got this for my wife for Xmas, she absolutely loves it! High quality and very easy to use. It came with three attachments but there are a ton more available for anything you can think of making with it.

It saved my arm, my daughter and I made 34 boxes of Christmas cookies. All different kinds and without this machine, we would’ve been so sore. Highly recommend. It works amazing.

This is a robust, nice looking mixer! The bowl seats well into position, it takes some force but then you know it's secure. It's quiet and operates smoothly. Overall it's a great mixer.

Love love this lift mixer. It's perfect for my kitchen, and i just love the color so much.

The mixer is very good. This is my first mixer and it was pretty easy to use. Has lots of power and does not seem to have any issues with thick dough that I have made. The mixer has quality components and seems durable. I might have chosen the tilt head as I feel it might be easier to put the ingredients in, but I still am very happy with this mixer.
