My 30 year old KA mixer is more solid. The edges of the thin, flat, non-ergonomic handle on the new mixing bowl are so sharp the I want to wrap the handle because it digs into my skin. (I’ve attached pics to show the difference between my old mixing bowl with the superior handle and taller sides). Also, the new beater that is coated has bumps and flaws under the coating.

Watch out for metal shavings in your bowl

Every time she was baking she never put the speed above 3, which is even more upsetting considering the outrages price. If anyone is looking to get this for their significant other, high price does not mean high quality. I just hope none of the metal shavings dropped into our food! ⚠️

Poor quality control

I'm glad I did because the mixing paddle started chipping on its second use. Hope it's not in the sourdough I was making. Hook and paddle both of bubbles and cracks in the ceramic coating. Never been dropped or handled rough. Hopefully there's a stainless replacement out there. This should not be happening in a $500 product.
