    The unit i received was likely a deffective unit that broke the second time i use. The machine turn on but the hook is not spinning. Nothing heavy during usage, just some dough being mixed using the dough hook at the recomended speed. Luckily the mixer broke down during the 3rd day afer purchase so i was able to exchange for a different unit at BestBuy. So far the newer unit work just fine, but i did purchase the geeksquad protection plan for peace of mind in case this breakdown again.

    Beautiful machine! We gifted this to our daughter-in-law and our son for Christmas. We have an older model 20 years) that is still going strong. We know they will enjoy it.

    I love the ability to lift the bowl up and down vs. on the other models, where you must lift the top of the mixer. Also, KitchenAid mixers last for years and years; my mother has one that my grandmother gave her that is over 15 years old and still looks and works like new. While KitchenAid products are not cheap, the quality quickly makes up for the upfront costs.
