A quick Google search shows this is a common issue. I am outside the return window for BestBuy and now will have to go through the KitchenAid warranty. Very frustrating for the price of this mixer.

I wish I would have purchased a tilt head instead of a bowl lift , owned a tilt head before this and loved it this on the other hand was a mistake for me . Still a very good mixer just not for me .

The reason for 3 stars is that there are areas that have no paint that will eventually rust. On a mixer that cost 450 dollars, this should not be the case. When spending this kind of money you would expect a higher quality finish from the manufacturer.
