Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Within first few weeks of purchasing this range, I tried the convection bake function and it heated up so much that the heat coming out through the slit on the back of the oven caused a fire on the stove top. Now two months after owning it, I tried to use the regular bake function as well as the stove top and a strong gas smell came from the oven and kept getting stronger. Whirlpool customer service will not have the range replaced even though it’s a major safety issue they want to have a technician come to diagnose it first which won’t be for another two weeks. This is completely unreasonable when the issue is an obvious manufacturer defect and a serious safety issue for our family and home. The top priority should be safety - diagnosis should not be waited on for another two weeks to be done in our home with nature of this issue. I will not buy another whirlpool or kitchen aid appliance again!
