Excellent Stove & Excellent Service!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We’ve been using this gas range with convection for a while now, and it has made everyday cooking much easier. The convection feature helps cook food more evenly, which has been a big plus. There was a minor issue after delivery, but the local store’s customer service technician was excellent and resolved it quickly. Overall, we’re very satisfied with both the product and the support.

Good Looking Range
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this range in June '16 and love it. It has a simmer feature on the L. front burner which is great and love the oven capacity It looks great, the cook top is very easy to clean, Convection conversion feature is really nice and the steam feature is great when I make my home made yeast rolls. Would really recommend this range to anyone. We bought this range after having a kitchen fire and really researched different brands before we made our choice.

With I could have a do-over
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this unit because of discounted price and good looks. The oven works well but I have quite a few complaints. One, its too easy to accidentally bump a knob and unintentionally turn on the gas. This has happened three times and is pretty scary. Two, only one burner simmers. Three, the timer set procedure frequently conflicts with the oven temperature setting which causes frequent accidental oven turn-offs when you reset the timer. Terrible design. Four, oven cleaning feature does not appear to work at all. I have no idea what KA means when they articulate it as some type of important feature. Five, after a year I am already getting error messages on control board telling me I need to have it serviced. Still seems to work, but this does not bode well. Six, front right burner takes a long time to catch after many seconds of clicking then WHOOP!, the gas ignites explosively. Worst appliance purchase I have ever made.

OK, not great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this because of the relatively low price and it was a slide-in. The oven works very nicely and the stove top grill covers the whole surface but this unit has a number of annoying quirks. The two right side burners do not have a simmer setting, and the control interface is buggy. Often when I set the timer, it turns off the oven. I can quickly re-ignite the oven but it's annoying nevertheless. Also, the interface faces up and not out so every time you cook, the digital interface gets filthy with both grease and caking detritus. People have mentioned that the oven is dangerous because knobs can be accidentally bumped to the "on" setting, allowing gas release. I have not had that problem. Cooks well, but not well-designed.

Not worth the money - AquaLift does not work
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a first time KitchenAid owner and only bought this appliance because I need an oven with a self cleaning feature. Was recommended by the store sales person as being a good product. Bought it and 2nd day after it was delivered, the ignition broke and cannot start the stove. Waited over 2 weeks to get the part and was replaced. A few months later the oven light went out. Waited again another week or so for a replacement bulb. Then, when it was time to clean the oven using the AquaLift cleaning technology, it didn't work at all. Followed the instructions to the word but to no avail. Even the tiny grease spot won't come out as described in the User Guide. Terrible disclosure on the part of the manufacturer and seller. Called KitchenAid and Best Buy to exchange for another model that has a self cleaning feature that has been tested and really works, but got nowhere. I'm very disappointed and frustrated with this purchase and wish someone from either Best Buy or KitchenAid would be brave enough to check this appliance and see for themselves what the real problem is. I have owned a few other brands and never had an issue with the self cleaning feature. This is by far the worse and needless to say I'm not buying any KitchenAid product or shop at Best Buy.

Disappointed, poor build quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this range along with a KMHC319ESS convection microwave and a KDTE204ESS1 dishwasher for a kitchen remodel in our new home. We spent many hours researching options and it came down to the KitchenAid units or a comparable set from Bosch. We chose the KitchenAid units, what a mistake that has turned out to be... First, about a month after the year warranty was up, the microwave stopped working and displayed an error stating the door was open when it was closed. Ended up having to take it apart and replace several micro switches and two fuses. Then about a month after that when trying to use the oven, we got an error that the oven fan speed was to low and the oven will not work. We can't even use the timer..... Replaced the fan ($70), but that didn't seem to fix the issue, so I just ordered the main control board, hopefully that $280 bucks will take care of the problem. And now the button to start the dishwasher is acting up, have to press it about a half dozen times for it to actually start. Someone else mentioned in another review that these KitchenAid units look nice, I agree, but it seems they are just not built like you would expect for the money.....

Dangerous Knobs
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would give this stove a 4-5 star rating - BUT it has a serious flaw that they will not fix. Ffor the most part it cooks very well. It has a nice clean look to it as well. Issues is that 5 Knobs on the front of the stove turn on VERY easily and all you have to do it brush up against the stove and they can turn on every to slightly and the GAS will turn on without you even knowing it. I have come home to the house filled with GAS! Thankfully the dog that was home in the house was not effected. This has happened several times without knowing that you have turned the gas on. Most stoves you have to push the knob in 1st then turn it on, this prevents the gas from being turned on by accident. Kitchen Aid told me to not lean up against the stove and to make sure I check the knobs every time I walk by it. This is not realistic and this needs to be fixed.

So far not a good experience
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The range was installed March 22; 2019. Top burners work fine. Went to use oven March 31; 2019. Set oven to 400 and it took 45 minutes to reach 275. Ended up turning it off. Called Kitchenaid this morning and decided to turn it on while I was talking to service re and it seemed to be heating up faster. Again only reached 260 in about 45 minutes. Then I tried once more a few hours later and it took 1 full hour to reach 300 degrees. Kitchenaid tech coming out Wednesday. I will give an update after Wednesday.

Broken and nearly impossible to schedule service
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The oven failed the very first time I tried to use it, producing an obscure error code and shutting down. It was unfortunately not even possible to schedule repairs because the website for doing so was down for two days and the customer services representatives reachable by phone evidently use the same computer system for scheduling repairs. At this point, I have invested two and one half hours on the phone over a period of two days merely trying to schedule warranty service on a brand new defective oven. On the bright side, it does look nice. If you are buying it to make your kitchen look nice but don't actually ever plan to use it, then this is the one you want!

Problematic!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Kitchenaid won't add my review to their site for some reason so I will add it here. I have had this stove for 5 years and it has been nothing but a headache. I have had multiple service calls in which no one can fix the issue. Our stove will preheat 1 out of 6 times and even when it’s preheating the flame will go out and the temp will not raise over 225 F. Even when the temp reaches the preset the flame will go off and the display will read 350 but the actual temp will be far below the actual temp displayed. We have had the igniter switch changed a few times and also the temperature sensor with no changes on the result. I find it hard to believe that there are so many reviews like mine and Kitchenaid has not correct this ongoing issue. We need a new stove and because I can not buy another Kitchenaid stove we must now change all of our appliances so we can have a matching set. I would say buy at your own risk and read all the reviews. This stove has ruined 4 holidays because it would not ignite or hold a temp and Thanksgiving was the last straw. Baking should not be this tough especially with the price of this range.

Control panel is JUNK
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do Not Buy This! 4 years and the last 3 I had nothing but trouble with the control panel. The control panel is right in front of the burners and I did my best never to spill or drip anything on the front control panel but it is impossible. Hasn't anyone there every made soup or cooked bacon? Bad design and a control panel that can't take the kitchen. I am sad and angry. I am going to replace it since now I can no longer use the oven because it keeps shutting itself off. I go to the basement and turn the breaker off for a minute and that worked sometimes but no longer. Look at the number of 1 star ratings here. Stove would be nice if the control panel wasn't junk.

Disappointing - the oven is terrible
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a KitchenAid in my old house and loved it. This thing is a total disappointment for the high price. It took 11 months and two delivery tries to receive. The burners are OK, but the oven is terrible. Takes 30-45 mins to warm up and does not have a self clean feature. The manual advertises an "Aqualift clean" feature that is a joke. It is basically a pan of water and requires me to use Easy Off oven cleaner which is messy and makes me climb in the oven to get it clean. NOT what I expected from a $2500+ range. I didn't even think a modern range would NOT self clean. I am replacing it with the Samsung model I should have bought in the first place.
