We bought this to replace our old oven/range installed in our house in 1997. This one seems very underpowered. It takes forever for the oven to pre-heat and the cooktop has a difficult time keeping water at a boil even on the high heat burner. For example once you bring a pot to boil and then add in some potatoes the range takes a long time (3-5 min) to bring the water back to boil. The variable size burner is nice but does not overcome the poor performance. Also the drawer at the bottom feels very cheap.

I really loved the range till it stopped working. I would expect a KitchenAid stove to last longer than it did.

The replacement’s top was improperly assembled, so we exchanged that one, too. The third one is assembled ok, but the drawer has an extremely sharp edge on it. It takes a very long time to preheat, and the convection fan chirps at times. Finally, the self clean cycle just makes warm water in the bottom and doesn’t remove grease. You can’t use oven cleaner, and it takes a lot of scrubbing to make it just mildly clean. Not worth the money.
