Awesome appliance, but a person needs to be informed about everything that comes with it or have it as an add on at time of purchase.

My daughter and I picked this stand mixer out together. I chose Kitchen Aid based on the quality of the brand. We selected the Ice Blue color together, but mostly her preference. She will inherit this piece from me at some point and she knows that already. She loves to cook, and I expect we will make mountains of memories and yumminess as we explore all sorts of family recipes together.

I have owned 3 of these mixers over the past 25 years and this is a gift to my son who is chef, so each if my 4 kids now have one. They can handle the simplest cake mix to heavy dough for bread.

i thought i would give my bride a "big girl" mixer and it was a hit. we made hundreds of christmas cookies and the mixer performed great!looking forward to using mixer for years to come.

KitchenAid mixer is the best. This is my second one and I would not purchase any other brand.

will not be using this item until christmas when I move back into my home

I had better luck purchasing this from Best Buy than I did from the actual Kitchen Aid website!

Has not been used yet as it was a gift/purchased very early for wedding.

I cannot believe I waited so long to purchase this mixer! Once you master switching out the beaters (which took me a while to figure it out), the rest is pretty easy.

This is a very heavy unit but has worked ok so far.

My wife and I waited for years to get this. The price was right, and it works as advertised. Our hand mixer was just about to die, and this is more than a suitable replacement . No problems, and expect none for the foreseeable future. Sturdy and easy to use.Now, to get accessories for this wonderful mixer.

Great product. From bread to cookies. Nothing like having home made food.

We are big fans of KitchenAid. We went to mix the simple ingredients for a cheesecake to today and it wouldn't come on. I tried everything and finally jiggled the mixer head and it came on. However it made this grinding noise and the motor sound went on and off and up and down. It sounded like it was dying. I tried to get the project done while doing whatever it took to keep it running. It sounded awful and while setting it on one speed, it would speed up and slow down erratically. It's a very simple device and obviously the gear box it shot (at the very least). Naturally the 1 year warranty is over so I called the factory to see about repair. The bottom line is that it will cost more to ship and fix than to buy a new one. I like KitchenAid, and I agree that I may have just gotten a defective one, but this is really not cool. I just recently replaced a small KitchenAid food processor that died and that was not acceptable at all either. Worse still is that when I called the manufacturer about the repair options, they tried to Up Sell me on a new one instead of being embarrassed by their failure. I will probably replace it with another but I'm upset that a brand that prides itself on quality could allow themselves to look so cheesy.
