I purchased this mixer for my wife. She has always wanted a Kitchen Aid Mixer. They are known for their high quality. Upon delivery, the pour shield was warped and we had to call and have it replaced. Then, about 3 weeks later, the paint/plastic started chipping off the main beater around the neck (an area that doesn't even get near the bowl). It started chipping even though we were hand washing it. That being said, interacting with Kitchen Aid to get the replacements have been great. They were courteous and prompt. We are still waiting on the new beater but it should be here shortly. We also had to adjust the "Factory Settings" as shown in the manual because it wasn't quite getting close enough to the bottom so that it would mix the ingredients thoroughly. It was easy to adjust and the directions were clear. Overall, it seems like a good purchase. Time will tell :)

I have used a Sunbeam stand mixer for the past several years. When I went to use it for Christmas cookies this year I decided I was fed up with the cheap imitation and decided to buy the KitchenAid I had always wanted. I am so happy to have a stand mixer that doesn’t shake all over the countertop! I only wish I had purchased it years ago.

I am not sure yet if it is just that I need to adjust the level and it needs to be moved down a little or if I need to mix it a bit more. However not all the ingredients were mixed in the bottom of the bowl. I made a cake and also when I made a vegetable pizza and used to mix the cream cheese with the sour cream and deel weed. I will have to do some reading on it.

My Kitchen Aid mixer is a table model and not the basic unit. We upgraded for bread making and exotic cakes. It is great for baking and making mashed potatoes. Very Creamy! Thanksgiving has never been better!

Convenient to use especially for large mixtures and heavy doughs
