I purchased this model and it was delivered last week. I went to make bagels (using 3 1/2 cups of flour) and the machine stopped kneading. The motor runs but the attachments don’t spin. The locking mechanism did not work and kept popping up while mixing, and the lever to switch speeds was so tight and difficult to move. I had previously owned a KitchenAid Artisan stand mixer for 21 years and replaced it with this newer model. Unfortunately, it’s crap. Best Buy is sending out a new mixer. Hopefully the new mixer will work. Best Buy Customer Service was great!

My Mom had one (lime green) that lasted for years, then she passed it on to my sister and I always wanted one of my own. I got it for my new kitchen and it's a joy to do so much with one appliance - lots of baking, etc. I love it. Now wonder why I waited so long! It's well worth the price. And every cook on TV has one so if you want to follow along you need to get one!!!

Excellent Mixer - very cool looking as well. Does the job!

We love this mixer!! With its powerful motor, mixing various doughs (bread, pizza, cookie, etc.) are easy and quick. The whisk works great for homemade whipped cream and meringue. Cake and brownie batters are nice and smooth. Can't wait to get the pasta and other attachments!

This is a high quality mixer that is awesome. The attachments that are offered to buy work very well with it. I bought the meat grinder and it was quick and easy to use. I recommend this mixer to anyone interested in getting a high quality mixer that will last for years.

I've had a large KitchenAid stand mixer for the past 30 years (the model with the arms that lift the bowl up to the beater head). It was starting to slow down finally, so I got the new Artisan version that had about the same wattage as the old one. The Artisan seems to have the power to do the same things, but the head unit that tilts up does not lock into place as securely as I would have expected. It tends to bounce up and down when it is doing the tougher jobs. I'm sure it will be a fine mixer for the every day stuff, and occasional really tough jobs I give it, though. My advice would be that if you do a lot of the really tough jobs, get the kind that does not have the tilt-up head.

This machine is phenomenal. Makes baking cakes and cookies a breeze. As time goes on I’ll make sure to buy more attachments as it can really do so much. I originally tried to go with a cheaper one and it broke on the second day of baking. I’m so glad I went big and got this one.

I have always wanted a stand mixer and this one has made my dreams come true. Very happy with it! Cannot wait until Christmas! I know it will save me loads of time! Very impressed with the power on this model - almost scary! Takes all the work out of mixing!

Good value, reliable brand, works well. And it was a nice color of blue. Replaced a similar model we have had for 25-30 years.

Bought this mixer for my wife, she loves to bake. She loves how easy this mixer is to use and clean. The tilt head feature is a must in smalll mixers like this. I also liked the fact that it came in an expresso color to match our kitchen. Got this on sale and it was the best price I could find. Looking for a mixer, Kitchen Aid and Best Buy the way to go.

I've been looking for one of these mixers for a while now and finally made the decision to get one. I didn't need the 6 quart professional series but wanted something with a little more power than the lower end 4.5 quart mixer. This one turned out a great compromise. It makes baking so much easier, and making it easier means I'll do it more often.

Light yet still powerful. Extremely well made. Bought this over the holiday to replace an old mixer. Makes it easy to whip up cookies or cakes in a snap. This thing is sturdy and well built and will last for years.

One cannot go wrong with a kitchenaid mixer. This machine does everything right and for a long time. I bought one because we were tired of the high speed hand held that fling food all over when mixing. I would definitely recommend a kitchenaid for every home.

First- Love the matte milkshake color! This is my first KitchenAid product and I’m in love. Makes baking so much easier! I would use a hand mixer and I didn’t realize how much time I was wasting. I’m very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend.

Excellent product. This is not my 1st stand mixer but it is my 1st Kitchen Aid one. I used it and made about 20 dozen cookies with it for the holidays and it performed above my expectations. The mixer itself is very sturdily built and is quite heavy to pick up.

My wife loves this mixer! It's excellent for so many different things, from breads to cakes and the cheese grater is an excellent accessory.

Awsome, was delivered a day late but product is great wife loves it. Did purchase extended warranty but received nothing on it. So not sure how that works. But the product itself highly recommend it yes pricy for a mixer but well worth it.
