It might be ok for normal cake but when I did bread dough, the engine was so hot that I got burnt.

Not 5 stars just because some of the dry ingredients doesn't mix at the bottom. Besides that, it's worth every penny.

I'm a machinist by trade, so I know manufactured quality when I see it. THIS MACHINE HAS IT! It has unbelievable quality built into it. It is a lifetime piece of equipment. All manufactured from powder coated metal, with a planetary gear system on the head, along with a power takeoff on the front, much like a farm tractor. This thing is the "John Deere" of kitchen mixers. It's no wonder why these things are so popular. They have an all but limitless amount of tasks they can accomplish. Don't waste your time with cheaper kitchen mixers that don't have the power, are a pain to clean, and burn out in a year of normal use. Buy this model and you will have it for life. Then your kids will be able to use it until they die off. This thing is that well made.

I love my mixer! The only issue is with the pourer. For some reason I can't get the pouring mechanism to work without creating a mess.

Picked up the mixer to make my traditional cookies. Typically used my bare hands to mix everything but as age collects I need more assistance. While the mixer did do its job of mixing, the bowl was too small for my needs and had to return it. Was quite sad as it was a good looking/performing machine.

The best. Only thing keeping this from a 5 star is I would prefer that the bowl itself turned.

The tilt head feature caused a lot of shaking which eventually caused to head to come loose

The 1st use was excellent after the 2nd use it stopped working. Poor quality.

the motors in these new models are simply not as powerful as with the Old Kitchen Aid.. Very disappointed in this product. Sorry I purchased it.

Great mixer really good brand just color on real view is darker than pics.

I don't bake much so rarely use this. I had the dough hook in and was using it for a normal recipe when it just abruptly stopped working. Tried everything to reset it, took it apart, it's just dead.

I have a Kitchen Aid Mixer in the 4 1/2 quart, with non-tilting head and really wanted one with a tilting head. This has the 5 quart bowl and love the bigger size, love the tilt head. The 3 attachments are smaller then on my 4 1/2 quart mixer. So when I mix some things - not all - I find the attachements do not mix together everything on the sides and I have to scrap them with a spatula. Not a huge deal as now the head tilt's back and makes that process easier. Overall - very sturdy,, looks beautiful and handles long mixes of about 10 -15 minutes with ease.

Did not like dough hook. The mixer shakes too much mage too much noise

It's aight, not my cup of tea. But who knows I may change my mind. Will keep you posted.

Bought this for my mom for mothers day and she loves it! Light weight and versatile

The color is BEAUTIFUL in person just as in the picture! It works just great and the endless attachments are everything! I have had it for over 2 years and she works just as good every time.

The instructions tell you which attachment is required for each use. This is very helpful.
