    This mixer replaces the classic which I had for about 30 years. I like this one because of the larger bowl. My other one was only 4.5 quarts and this one is 5 quarts. It works well and I am sure it will last 30 years as well. By then I will be 100 years plus so I might be ready to give up cooking/baking though I doubt it.

    The mixing paddle hits the bowl. The mixer bucks and bounces and the tilt lock lets go. Will be returning the mixer for exchange. Cannot recommend the unit based on the one I received.

    I have wanted a KitchenAid Stand Mixer for 20 years, but never bought one. I had to make-do with hand mixing or a hand held electric mixer, which is fine for somethings, but not everything. I am thrilled with my mixer and with the holiday baking season right around the corner, I am ready!
