This stand mixer uses a planetary gear design which is very effective in mixing ingredients. Although the KitchenAid mixer is on the high side pricewise, I would recommend it if you enjoy baking. I may consider some of the available attachments in the future.

I was not able to find the model I was looking for (the 150 model) for a Christmas gift. Found the 150 close by and returned this. Not much of a review I know.

This is a great product especially for cooking. I use it alot for baking and it is a lot better than the other mixers i have used in the pass. The only thing is that it is quite heavy which is no problem for me, but my mom and sister cannot handle the weight.
