Had to return because it wouldn’t turn on. I got it out of the box plugged it in and got nothing. I used three different plugs in my house, read the directions and figured out it just didn’t work.

I wanted to love this mixer so bad! Unfortunately first use on my vanilla bean buttercream it lost power quick and got off track and started clanking together.

I am very disappointed in this mixer. It is not very powerful. I would not recommend this item.

Is it possible to get excited about a handheld mixer? If it's the new KitchenAid, the answer is yes. Here's a tool that's been around for 60 odd years, and every one is like another. First positive, it's cord free. Thanks to the lithium battery, there's no noticeable difference between this model and a corded one. I've used it a few times, with no discernible power loss. (Manufacturer claim is for 200 cookies.) The next, and my favorite feature is soft start. My most common use of a mixer is for whipped cream. How many times have I turned a mixer on high & gotten a shirt splashed with fine white droplets? No more - the mixer comes up to speed gently which greatly reduces the chance for overspilling the bowl's content. Next good feature? The ability to stand the unit on its behind. The only downside I've seen is there's no using it while charging. So, if you've forgotten to put it on charge the last time you used it, you'll have to wait. But not long. 10-15 minutes is all you need to put a partial charge in which should get you through your task. Thanks to KitchenAid for putting a new spin on an old tool.

This cordless hand mixer from Kitchenaid offers a lot of performance in a convenient cordless package. The mixer features 7 speeds and comes with a set of wire mixer paddles and the power adapter. It’s very straightforward to set up, just make sure the correct paddle is going into the correct hole! Being all DC powered, the unit is quiet and the cordless operation super flexible. The unit doesn’t quite have as much raw speed or torque as a corded mixer or the flexibility of using different paddle types. It does have enough power to shred cooked chicken breast for a pulled chicken BBQ (thanks Alton Brown) and for most typical tasks like mixing batter or light dough. Whipping cream or mixing thick dough or other similar tasks might be better suited for a corded hand mixer or a stand mixer that offer more speed and torque. One minor quibble is that I wish the charging port was some form of USB instead of a proprietary port and power supply, if that cord shorts or you have an issue the mixer is pretty much dead. Also having a sealed internal battery that will wear out means this unit isn’t going to last forever like your grandma’s old one from 1970 that still keeps going. Overall, this is a capable mixer with cordless convenience that will meet most people’s needs.

The KitchenAid cordless hand mixer is a nice mixer for everyday baking use. The seven speeds provide plenty of power and it is very nice to not have a cord always getting in the way. Having a lithium ion battery as the power source, the power of the mixer is rather constant as the battery runs down, until the battery is nearly completely drained--just think about newer power tools, it is the same type of experience. The mixer features a light indicating the strength of the charge. The light stays green until it's down to 30% power, at which it turns yellow. There was no discernible difference in power at the 30% level. I was able to make one batch of brownies and another batch of chocolate chip cookies on one charge, and the battery indicator had not dropped to the "yellow" 30% state of charge, meaning there was plenty left to go. Like with other battery operated devices, it's always good to know in advance when you are going to be using it because that way you can make sure it is fully charged up. Nothing is worse than needing a battery operated device and seeing that the battery is dead or near dead. Sometimes you just can't wait for the recharge. The soft start / stop feature is a nice touch to prevent splatters.

This is a great mixer for when I don't want to break out the stand mixer. It's great with cake and pancake batter and whips egg whites like a dream. It even handles chocolate chip cookie dough. I wasn't sure how I would feel about the cordless aspect, but the mixer has plenty of power and I like being able to take it to the stove and whip potatoes or sauces in the pan. The flat bottom allows me to set the mixer down with the beaters over the bowl so mess is kept down.

Got this little wireless unit and the first thing I did was to charge it. I just pulled out the wall charger and plugged it in the body of the mixer. When I was ready to use it, I looked on the unit for the little picture near the mixing holes to tell me which mixing blade went into which hole and then started mixing my pancake batter on slow. There was very little sound, the mixing speed was slow enough that my powder from the pancake batter did not go flying all over the kitchen, and it mixed the batter really nice. It was easy to use, it was not heavy to hold, the handle was small enough to hold without a problem. I always wanted a KitchenAid mixer and now I am glad I waited, because now it is cordless, lightweight, sleek looking, quiet, and just everything I have been wanting in a mixer. I hope it keeps the charge and the battery will keep on charging for 20 years. That is the only other thing I can ask for.

We have a few different mixers and this one is light and easy to use but still gets the job done and can run for a while before recharge. We were very pleased and purchased another as gift for a relative.

it doesn't have that much power. I just bought it because if it has a lot of good reviews but it's not worth it at all.

As a famous chef once said, "Anyone can cook." However, that doesn't mean that anyone "should" cook. When it comes to cooking, I'm usually all about keeping it "simple" or "basic." I consider myself a (very) novice chef and cook, and while I have never really used a mixer for anything cooking before, this cordless mixer is an amazing product I didn't know I needed until I started using it. I don't think I would use any other types of mixers for the majority of things for the rest of my life. Since I have had this product, I have used it for many different things, though my favorite thing so far has been pancakes. Granted the ingredients of pancakes can vary slightly, this mixer has allowed me to make some of the most delicious and fluffiest pancakes I've ever had in my life. Some pretty big "pros" of this mixer include it's look - it looks pretty sleek - and it's portability - It's not too heavy, and the "feel" of the mixer is pretty good quality. The motor is also not loud, the controls are pretty easy to use, and it's easy to clean! One additional bonus is that the mixer charges pretty quickly to full, and I've been able to get about 3-4 uses of it before it needs to be charged again. Awesome job with is product, KitchenAid! You've made me a believer in cordless mixers, and maybe opened the door for me to try out other cooking tools!

This mixer is lightweight, easy to use and does a great job mixing! I love that I no longer have to mess with a cord. Recharging the battery is easy, and does not require a long time.

This powerful little mixer works well for all uses. The ability to not have a power cable to mess with is a great addition as well. Highly recommended.

Good quality product. It was a last minute Christmas present and arrived in three days just in time.

In my experience cordless devices simply don't have the same amount of power to them that corded ones do. This mixer breaks away from that stereotype and has just as much "ooompf" behind it that a corded device would typically have. The battery life has proven to be awesome - I haven't been able to kill it even after having used to make several dishes. Also, the device feels hefty - like it's going to last a long while - again, in my opinion many portable devices have lost that trait recently, but not this one! It's a welcome addition to any household that makes home-made meals!
