I bought one of these hand blenders many, many, many years ago. I have used it all the time for making smoothies and blending sauces and soups and things. I came across this cordless model and figured it was time to upgrade mine. I cant believe i didn't do this sooner. Having one of these without a cord makes things SO much easier. I always had to do the dance of trying to blend while keeping the cord out of whatever I was blending our away from a hot stove and things like that. With this one, you don't have to worry about that ever again! This thing comes ready to use right out of the box. You can literally pull the 2 pieces together and go 5 seconds after you open the box. This blender is very lightweight and has plenty of battery life to get through whatever you need to. Ive blended smoothies with a bunch of big berries in it. Ive also blended thick and chunky soups with it. It powers through them with ho problem at all! Cleanup is a breeze too. You can detach the part with the blade on it and run it under the faucet to clean it. Nothing really sticks to the blade, so cleanup is a breeze! Charging is also very simple. You just plug the charger into the base and a couple hours later your blender is fully charged and ready to go! Even if you forget to charge it, you can put it on the charger for like 15 minutes and it will be plenty of juice to whip up a quick smoothie! Overall, I would highly recommend getting one of these if you need a new blender. Or even upgrading if you have one of these with a cord on it. Trust me, you wont be sorry! Its simple, easy to use, easy to charge, and just works! What more could you ask for!

Worked great but broke within 3 months. Stopped charging. I purchased the same one. It with the cord and it’s actually better than this one

I really wanted to love this I’ve always wanted one and I wanted one to do mashed potatoes and do herbs and do so many things, however I was kind of disappointed in this it wasn’t that strong it takes a while to give it a full charge which it does with no issues however my problem is when you actually try to use it on something that’s a little bit harder than soup. It just doesn’t cut it even for mashed potatoes. I think I will stick with one that is corded. Which has more power

I would rate the blender as good overall. Cordless is nice because the cord doesn't get in the way.

KitchenAid, it’s a brand so many of us who work in Kitchens either for hobby or professionally. In the week or so that I’ve been using this Hand Blender, it’s been nothing but a pleasant experience. It’s simple to use and has quite a bit of power to blend a variety of things including shakes/smoothies. I appreciate that there was a measuring cup included with a Rubber lid and also a protector for if you’re using the Blender in a pan and don’t want to damage the surface of said pan. It has two speeds on it. The speeds are dependent on the pressure applied to the trigger mechanism. There’s also on the opposite of the trigger a large lock button that unless pressure is applied to it, the blades will not engage. It’s likely not entirely child proof, an actual lock of sorts would be better for this, but it at least prevents accidental operation of the unit. It’s got quite a long neck to it so if you have a deep cup or container that you’re needing to blend in, you won’t have much of a problem. The neck containing the blades is detachable to make cleaning quick and easy. The Pan Protector is also easy to clean and is made of plastic. It snaps right on to the blender head with ease and won’t easily fall off. To charge the unit, you disconnect the Blender portion of the unit and on the inside of the handle there is a charger port. It doesn’t appear to take a long time to charge and also appears to hold a charge for quite some time. I charged it to full the day I got it and have not placed it back on the charger still. It does have a 3 color indicator to show when it’s full, low or needs to be charged. I have to say I’m quite pleased with this. It’s quick and simple to use and makes the need for taking out and setting up the full sized blender unnecessary. Given the KitchenAid quality, I expect this to last for many years without issue. If you’re looking for a nice durable and quality feeling Hand Blender and have relied on KitchenAid or even any other brand of kitchen appliances/utilities this will not disappoint. You certainly won’t go wrong with purchasing one of these.

The KitchenAid KHBBV53BM is a great little blender for a quick protein shake or small mixing job when you don’t want to mess up the bigger machine. In the box is the blender motor/handle/battery, blending arm, 3 cup jar with lid, pan guard, and charger. It is well packaged, and comes with the ever more rare paper instruction booklet. The motor portion and the top of the blending arm are constructed of a durable black matte plastic, and the shaft, blade guard and blade are stainless steel. It also has a removable plastic pan guard which easily snaps on to protect delicate pans and containers from the stainless steel edges of the blade guard. It has a built to last feeling. While blending a protein shake, I lifted the handle to try to blend the upper contents of the cup. To my surprise, the entire cup and it’s contents came up with the blender. It has so much power that the suction created by the blades was holding the blender tightly to the bottom of the cup! Needles to say, there were no lumps of unblended protein in my drink. I also really like that it’s cordless and I can use it anywhere in the kitchen or elsewhere if needed. I also like that it holds a charge for a long, long time. I’ve had it for two weeks, using it several times, and only charged it for the first time today. After use, cleanup is a snap. A quick quarter turn and the head and blending arm are separated, and the stainless steel washes in just a second. A quick wipe of the handle/motor portion and it’s ready for the next job. Totally love this machine!

This item was not what I expected. No speed control the automatic control is not to be trusted for when you need to adjust speed you can’t. If you have the other mixer and what to try and use the other parts you can’t which you have to spend more money in buying new part which I’m not happy about on bit because the company is trying to get you to spend more money smh

This thing is kind of a beast! It’s extremely well built and not cheap in any way. In regards to power, it worked great for pureeing soups and also handled smoothies well. It has variable speed which is controlled by the silver button and you have to depress two buttons to actually turn it on which is a nice safety feature but it’s not inconvenient to do so - it’s basically just grabbing the blender like it’s intended to be used. They advertise that on a full charge you can blend 25 bowls of soup and then a smoothie or one soup with a quick charge of 20 minutes. I wouldn’t necessarily call 20 minutes quick by any means but still, it’s quite powerful. A full charge is supposed to take 2 hours. There is a battery indicator on the top of the device with green, yellow, and red status lights indicating battery charge. I like the fact that the blender splits into two pieces which makes it convenient for storage. The charging port is located on the upper portion of the unit which means you can wash the blender arm separately. They say in the instructions to wash it in hot, soapy water and it does not appear that the blender arm is dishwasher safe. It also comes with a plastic pan guard which clips on to the metal base which is nice to protect teflon-coated cookware. Oh, and it comes with a 3-cup blender jar with a lid. This hand blender is a great addition to other very well made KitchenAid products that I own.

Not worth it as it makes a mess. Ended up with a Ninja Blender instead.
